I'm saying people should mind what they are saying when they do not know what's going on in a players private life.

I see where you are coming from but given town have over 40 players/management so how are we to know about their private life before commenting. All we know is what we see in a match or hear on RH. If someone has a serious personal problem in their life and it's commented about then it's wrong, but if a comment is made and their is no previous knowledge of a players personal problem then it cannot be wrong.

You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time

So long as it’s not personal abuse and doesn’t involve trolling or otherwise invading someone’s space, what’s the problem with a bit of criticism? I’m sure you will have criticised performances without knowing what’s going on in someone’s life off the pitch. People can hardly be blamed for not knowing if something really bad has happened, with serious stuff being relatively rare.

I dare say you’ve criticised other members of this board without knowing what’s going on in their lives. It’s normally not a big issue if not over the top.

If you look back at my posts, I think you will very rarely see any unwarranted criticism of anyone, especially not the players.  There may be one or two, but I'm fairly confident there won't be many.

Talking to Graham Rodger once about the old Barratts. He told me he was frightened of the Barratts and would try to keep away from it, and he was a Town player!
I think that Town players knew the unique nature and what it was all about being  a Barratt stander and accepted it as part of the Blundell Park 'experience '.

I think you're getting your players mixed up there mate. Graham Rodger didn't sign for Town until long after the Barrett Stand was rubble and dust.

Well I would say that criticism of the players performances this season is not unwarranted, just as you feel you can make criticism of others were it is warranted.
