If the story is true, what sort of compo/fee are we looking at?

i'm presuming it's some derisory amount. (of course the way this season is going, plus the fact that the Ancien Regime are still in charge, there's bound to be some sort of loophole that will allow Moan U to have him for absolutely nothing!)

I thought that the premier league pay a large amount of the cost of clubs running a youth set up that the transfer fee Is already set.

In the summer it would have helped to have scheduled some more pre-season friendlies.   We might then have started the season with better fitness levels, gained more points and had fewer injuries ( the latter not helped by tiredness).

Is that a pigs ear?

You might say that but I couldn’t possibly comment. 😆

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

so, as i imagined, it's feck all

you do begin to wonder whether it's worth having the academy at all - you might as well just start with an under 18 team made up of cast offs from the other 91 clubs

Hard to disagree. But it would be a shame not to see players like Clifton and Wright come through. Khouri looked decent in the game he played. I thought Idehen looks promising too. If he had Pollock's composure and confidence, he'd be some player, but I guess he wouldn't be here in that case.
