Hursts post match interview with JT touched on alleged big club interest in Ben Grist . Does anyone know anything new about this. Mentioned last October that Liverpool and Chelsea were tracking Lois Boyd and him. Under 18s have had an outstanding season.. As plans A,B and C have not worked is it time to give these 15/16 year olds a chance notwithstanding they are probably busy with their GCSE.Jude Bellingham age 17 was best player on the pitch for Dortmund in Champions League midweek. We prefer to drag unfit post thirty years out of semi retirement obscurity.

He's not even the best player in the Youth in his position, but he has an agent, who is pimping him around....

Hurst isn't interested in youth players.

I suggest they all look for new clubs in the future.

I would add Mattie Pollock to that.

No replies please to say Mattie Pollock is rubbish.

Thank you.

Theirs no Jude Bellingham’s in this group unfortunately , I’m told Adlard and Khouri are the most likely to go further.

Been told it’s a done deal for two of our players to move to large academies in the summer. Not sure the financial impact of non league on our Youth set up but I am pretty sure it’s huge so can see plenty trying to stay within the league structure.

Oh and the biggest improvement Hurst has made is creating the defensive pairing of Hewitt and Mayenese, so Pollock will just have to bide his time.

Best suggestion we’ve had since putting Pollock up front because he’s top scorer.

I hope we get bags of cash for him , just can’t see how he can play higher up the pyramid with no pace. Having said that perhaps strength / conditioning people could maybe could find half a yard 😳

Pretty much go for peanuts anyway dont they ?

Good luck to them, their chances here will now be minimal, with Hurst and our position in the pyramid, whether we survive or not either scenario wont be one where youth is trusted.
Obviously the only warning is there are plenty of cases of similar lads at every club in the country doing the same and never being heard of again....until they appear in court 5/6 yrs later on drink drive or assault charges.
