Looks like Championship high-flyers Brentford liked the look of him, well done Hursty:

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Like this lads attitude, comes here knowing our plight and sees that as a challenge for him in men's football. We've been craving a "creative" midfielder and he seems to fit the bill..

Listened to Hurst on RH today, reading between the lines I'm not sure he's sold on Harry Clifton tbh.
Hewitt, imo, has always looked better as a centre half, gives cover for Habergham and Hendrie.
Spokes has looked quite decent tbf, probably the best of those 3.

I had the same thought. Hope he's powerful enough to plough through the mud.

I remember the legend that is Dave Boylen played on a few sticky pitches and used it to his advantage.

Hardly used Clifton and Wright when he was here last , yes they were younger then but soon after Hurst left they were back in favour.  In all honesty apart from a very high work rate Clifton doesnt possess enough attributes for what we need

Completely agree, watched Clifton and as harsh as it sounds he's conference quality, works his backside off but still cannot tackle cleanly or pass a good ball, not really kicked on since hitting the first team.
Max Wright could and should be a real asset but reminds me so much of Jack Makreth, too light weight and keeps getting injured which is a worry for such a young lad.

They were 18 and 19 at the time as you say so it’s a little unfair to say they were overlooked.

Clifton is the much maligned midfield water carrier. It’s easy to get on his case because he’s not the best with the ball, but we miss him when he’s not in the team.

His effort, intelligence and mobility makes him very much a Hurst type player.
He was also influential in our last win and is our only midfielder that can maintain any sort of press.
In the right pairing or 3 he’s a real asset.
