Roy Keane has now emerged as one of the favourites for the job.

No doubt Jolley will apply

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Feel sorry for the lad.

He was sacked by Scunthorpe as their chairman had ideas of grandeur and they were 5th in League one at the time, then looked what happened since.

Now Salford fire him after he gets them promoted from the National League at the first attempt, which as we found out is near impossible, and has them sitting nicely, unbeaten 5th place in league 2.

Doesn't make sense, unless a financial decision or something not right behind the scenes

Anyways, think Russell Slade should be get the job. Comes with a glowing reference.

Ah, the image of Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville attempting to sack Roy Keane at some inevitable point in the future is absolutely glorious. Please let this happen.

Wouldn't be surprised if nothing at all 'behind the scenes' had happened and the owners are just playing with their toy football club. Maybe they heard rumours of Pochetinio becoming available and fancy getting him in. Maybe it was similar to the scene in the documentary when Neville fired the manager at the time over the phone in front of a garish massive Christmas tree from his mock Tudor mansion.
