Goes unbeaten in 5 games, and is sacked.
er, ok then.
I tried to load the club statement from twitter, but it won't load - either dodgy link or their website is down.

A club statement read: "Salford City Football Club announces that manager Graham Alexander has left the club with immediate effect.

"The club met with Graham this morning and after discussion have agreed to part company. The club would like to thank Graham for his contribution and all his hard work.

"In his first season he guided the team to Wembley, resulting in promotion to League 2 and in his second season he reached the Leasing.com Trophy final. The club would like to wish him all the best and success in the future.

"Paul Scholes will act as the interim head coach while the club looks to secure a new manager. Warren Joyce, currently in isolation, will join Paul once he is able to."

They say they don’t like their style of play.
Think Town fans would agree with that!

Very odd... yet very harsh

I remember being surprised when Jolley was sacked... that was before we knew about the F-word filled interview with Matt Dean

Do they need another reason other than Paul Scholes wanted to stay in football management? It's not like they can say no to him lol.

Surprised by this.

Possibly as others have said a behind the scenes bust up which wont be relayed to the press. Hence Paul Scholes and co may of wanted Alexander to play a certain way and Alexander being his own man having none of it?.
