It’s another law that simply won’t be enforced and with the constant contradictions throughout all of this folk simply don’t know if they’re coming or going and some have just given up.

People can have whatever view they like but this is just another thing to confuddle folk.

The words horse, stable door and bolted spring to mind.

I can't argue with your final remark but people claiming they don't know the guidelines or are confused is just a weak excuse. It was even clarified yesterday (which was a 'grey' area) that you need a mask if you just nip into a sandwich shop. The rule says shops, banks, post offices et all how much clearer do folk want it? Then of course you've got the tossers who understand perfectly well but claim wearing a mask impinges on their human rights What balderdash!

I haven’t heard folk talking about imposing on human rights but folk are genuinely baffled as to why this being made compulsory now.

I mean yesterday I saw several folk wearing washable masks that haven’t seen a washing machine in their life, somewhat counterproductive really.

I don’t really think that it’s that important to be wearing them at the moment when the virus has seemingly slowed down , gone to ground in the main . I think the decision to get people wearing them now in public is to train the population in readiness for the autumn when it’ll be back with another major wave . In a few weeks it’ll just be the norm to wear a mask and we won’t feel like freaks walking into the shops with them on .

I have been shielding as I have chronic asthma, I have had to go to the hospital for x-rays, blood test and scans, due to struggling with my breathing and feeling fatigued.
Had to wear a mask, it did not make my breathing any different when not wearing a mask. I guess I would be exempt from wearing one, but will be wearing a mask, when I go out.

Just use your town scarf. It is a face covering, it does not need to be an actual mask. That is what I am going to. Will probably result in a few (socially distanced) conversations in Peterborough coming up!
