Masks

Today's the day when we have to wear masks in shops but most of the big stores are going to allow you in if you don't wear one in case you are exempt (why they can't ask I'll never know , is it profit based ?)    Let's see how many selfish, clever shites take advantage. I for one am not going to go into a store that doesn't enforce it. I want this virus to be eradicated.

What will you do if you walk in, get your shopping, lined up ready to pay and someone lines up behind you without a mask? Quiz them? Demand to see medical exemption?

I think the first week will see some leniency then things will tighten up.

I reckon we'll probably see the worst in people resurface again, harking back to the days of fighting over bog rolls and abusing supermarket staff. A kind of battle in the aisles between the maskers and anti-maskers.

I'll stick with my online supermarket shop I reckon.

Unfortunately the only way mask refusers are going to be 'encouraged' is via other more sensible shoppers. Shop staff won't be enforcing it (like bus drivers) and why should they take all the excrement they would inevitably get. The police have siad they can't (or won't) enforce it either due to shortage of numbers etc  so all those responsible member of the public who speak to the mask free twits will get all the flak and I'm sure in many cases violence.

I wasn't trying to be flippant,  but if you approach random shoppers who are maskless who knows their medical justification. Should the general public be expected to police this?

No of course they shouldn't, but sadly the responsible members of the public are the only ones who will.

As for medical justification 99% of those claiming it will be lying fornicators just like the young fit  twits who were shopping in 'old farts hour' claiming 'its for me old sick Nan'

If they aren't gasping for breath and / or carrying an oxygen bottle they should be wearing a mask IMO (and yes, I am being flippant but that's how I feel about it)

Must admit though, I was flapping around last night until I realised I had a couple in my car boot!!!!

My wife is a extremely vulnerable to Covid.  She still doesn’t go out and will not be going in any shops etc in the next few months.

I think everybody should be wearing masks where stipulated.  If some people can’t or won’t wear them, then they should stay away from shops.  Use other shopping means, eg on-line or get family or friends to shop for you.

This approach would simplify matters for shops and other shoppers.  No mask - no entry.
