Surely someone must have contact With Ms D Abbott. If she could just lend us her magic money tree for a couple of hours we could have a new ground, training complex, hotel, swimming pool, university, and still have enough to spare for two new hospitals.

Shouldn't need the two new hospitals.

Got £350 million a week to build as many as we want, plus those 50,000 31,000 extra nurses.

Yeah, but there's no point anyway. No medicine getting into the country, all European flights banned, 20 mile queues at Dover and complete financial meltdown,,,

Oh,

Hang on

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I was of the impression the council would own the stadium outright but rent it to the football club on a 99 year lease for a peppercorn rate with the premise that the council can stage events there when it’s not in use as a football stadium, hence the use of the phrase ‘community’ stadium.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Maybe if black and white bear actually paid for iFollow we could finally get this project off the ground.

Let's see what happens come 1st January when the transition period ends. We're effectively still part of the EU until then.

Hopefully the clowns now in charge can negotiate something approaching a sensible agreement, but no indication that this will be the case just yet.

Don't buy the bullshit, look at the numbers. If somebody takes £11 out of your pocket and gives you the chance to perhaps get £4 back, they aren't doing you a favour.[/quote]

Like you get rid of 20'000 police then a few years later say we will have 20.000 more police on the streets.

Quite right, Pete.

Don't believe anything they (any politician) say at face value until you see the numbers. Of course, to do this, you're reliant on the media reporting when they are being disingenuous and they don't tend to bother these days.

If it’s a community stadium owned by the council it will eventually become another strain on the tax payers of Grimsby because as far as I understand very few leisure facilities run by any council break even never mind make money. There again after 5 years of losses the council might just give the club the stadium just to get rid.

Owned by the council, ran by the club
