Not a team that gets the juices flowing. Nice to see Gardner on the bench but I am not optimistic seeing our starting eleven, that said I remember walking to the ground last year after hearing the starting eleven v Plymouth in the cup and saying who the hell is going to score for us.

Lets hope my pessimism is as equally misplaced tonight.

Let's not get carried away, Salford were truly awful but that was a magnificent performance tonight from the lads. Fully deserved victory with tremendous performances throughout the whole team. Mom for me Luke Waterfall who showed the coolness and leadership that has been sorely missing at times. Special mention to Harvey Cartwright who made a fantastic save early doors in the second half which might have changed the game. A happy smiling mariner here for a change. Happy New Year!!! UTM! 😁
