For me, personally, a stadium is an arena where the stands have a bigger footprint than the pitch.  For example, Wembley, Old Trafford, Anfield.

Blundell Park is more of a ground.

Do you not think the stands at BP have a bigger footprint than the pitch .I would say in square metreage the 4 stands would have more

We are getting very close to where a Ground will Identify as a Stadium  and a stadium will proudly state it is an Arena ......and in todays world we have to accept it
