Jamie Proctor (centre-forward) on an initial one-year deal, with an option for a further year. The 31-year-old is a 6 ft 2 in target man striker who is able to hold the ball up and bring other players into the game. Proctor made 55 appearances in his two seasons at Vale Park, scoring 15 goals. In his first campaign with The Valiants he scored 13 times and helped them to promotion to League One. Proctor would also go on to represent Swansea City, Crawley Town, Fleetwood Town, Bradford City, Bolton Wanderers, and Rotherham before he joined up with Darrell Clarke's Port Vale. These spells also included loans at Stockport County, Shrewsbury Town, Carlisle United, Scunthorpe United, AFC Fylde, Newport County, and Wigan Athletic.

Bradford City signed
Kevin McDonald (midfielder) on a two-year deal after he turned down a new contract with Exeter City. The 34-year-old joined Exeter on a short-term deal in January and scored three times in 11 appearances. Beginning his career with Dundee, McDonald signed for Burnley in 2008, helping the Clarets gain promotion to the Premier League that season.
A two-year spell in League One with Sheffield United followed, before a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers where he was part of a side which set a new League One points record of 103, in 2013/14.
He then made 128 appearances across the Premier League and Championship with Fulham, before spells at Dundee United and Exeter.

Alex Pattison (attacking midfielder) on a three-year deal following the expiry of his contract at Harrogate Town. In two seasons at Harrogate, the 25-year-old made a total of 86 appearances, scoring 19 goals and registering 14 assists. A product of Middlesbrough’s academy, Pattison served loan spells at York City and Yeovil Town, before spending two years at Wycombe Wanderers between 2019 and 2021, helping the Chairboys achieve promotion to the Championship.

Crawley Town signed
Liam Kelly (midfielder) agreeing a two-year deal following his departure from relegated Rochdale. The 27-year-old former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international scored 8 goals in 74 games for Rochdale. Kelly started his career at Reading, having joined the Royals when he was just eight years old. He went on to make just shy of 100 appearances for Reading before reuniting with former manager Jaap Stam at Feyenoord where he made one apperance. Kelly had two very successful loans at Oxford United. During his two stints with the U’s, Liam reached the play-offs on both occasions.

During his time at Blundell Park, Vernam made 71 league appearances, scoring 11 goals – including the League Two Goal of the Season in the 2019-20 season for his incredible solo goal at Colchester United. Since leaving the Club, Vernam has had spells in Sky Bet League One with Burton Albion (2020-21) and Lincoln City (2022-23) either side of a season with Bradford City where he scored 8 goals in 28 league games during the 2021–22 season.

Nathan Harness (goalkeeper) on a free transfer when his contract with Charlton Athletic expires at the end of June. A product of Ipswich Town Academy, who also spent time with Stevenage as a youngster, Harness arrives at Stadium MK with nine appearances to his name in EFL competitions, the majority coming in the EFL Trophy for the Addicks. Harness had spells at non-league spells at Billericay Town, Welling United, Dulwich Hamlet and Bromley, kept clean sheets in of two those nine EFL appearances, including a shut-out in a 1-0 victory over MK Dons at The Valley in January 2022.

MacGillivray made his league debut for Walsall in June 2014, MacGillivray has amassed 238 professional appearances for clubs such as the Saddlers, Shrewsbury Town, Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and, most recently, Burton. The experienced shot-stopper is an EFL Trophy winner with Portsmouth and was also their Player of the Year in 2021. He has kept a total of 76 clean sheets during his career so far and while with the Brewers last season, boasted a record of six shutouts in 19 games.

Stokes was part of the Killie side to gain promotion back to the Scottish Premiership at the first time of asking and retaining their Premiership status last season. With over 150 appearances for Forest Green Rovers, 98 for Coventry City and seasons at Bury and Stevenage sandwiched in-between, Stokes has experienced football from Conference level to League One. In his career, Stokes has been promoted from League two twice: in 2017-2018 with Coventry City through the play-offs as well as in 2018-19 with Bury as League Two runner’s up. He started his career at Southport back in 2017 attracting interest from numerous Premier League teams before subsequently landing a move to Chelsea. Dan Crowley (midfielder) on a two-year deal after he was released by Morecambe. Progressing through Aston Villa’s youth ranks, aged 15-year-old he switched to Arsenal, eventually signing a professional contract and elevating himself to the fringes of the first team, while also graduating into the England U19s squad. Loan spells at Barnsley and Oxford, both in League One, before experiencing life in the Dutch top flight with Go Ahead Eagles, before a permanent switch to another Eredevisie side, Willem II, ahead of the 2017-18 season. A strong second campaign, in which he helped his side reach the Dutch Cup final.
Birmingham City paid for his services. Crowley made 38 Championship appearances in his debut season at St Andrew’s before falling out of favour in 2020-21, leading to a loan move to Hull City which saw him help them to the League One title. A short-term deal at Cheltenham preceded a return to Willem II, where he again played in the top tier of Dutch football before securing a return to England with Morecambe in January.

Billy Chadwick (striker) on one-year contract on a free transfer from Hull City. The 23-year-old having the option of a further year on his deal. Chadwick had been with Hull since the age of nine, initially as a midfielder, before moving into a forward position. Billy went on loan to Halifax Town in the National League for a month, scoring on his debut in an FA Trophy tie against Hartlepool United. Playing as a winger during his time with Halifax, he finished his time there with five goals in 18 appearances. The following season he went on loan to Northern Irish champions Linfield, scoring six times in 17 appearances for the club – including one in a UEFA Conference League qualifier against CS Fola Esch of Luxembourg. Chadwick joined Boston United which was extended extended for the rest of the season, where he picked up the National League North Player of the Month award in March after six goal contributions in five games, finishing with 11 goals in 20 appearances.

After graduating from Brentford’s youth academy, Norris made his debut for the Bees’ senior side in 2011 and made five appearances for the first team. Since 2014 he has played for Gillingham, Swindon Town and Colchester United prior to joining Stevenage in January 2021. Norris’ goals helped Stevenage to a second placed finish last season, with the striker a regular in the starting line-up throughout the campaign.

He then moved to Burton Albion before winning promotion again with Bury to League Two in 2015 - then joining Sheffield United in 2016, to help them win promotion to League One. After a season on loan at Swindon, Hussey then made 155 appearances in four years at Cheltenham, with whom he won promotion for a fifth time in 2020-21. He spent the second half of the 2021-22 season at Port Vale before moving to Stockport in September 2022.
