David McGoldrick signs for Notts County on 2 year deal

Must be on some dough there

What a signing this is. Would put them favourite for Champions.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Wiki quotes a club statement:  "David hasn’t made this decision for financial reasons. His love and respect for the club have brought him home"

Not sure if Ryan Bennett feels the same way about Town...

Mcgoldrick hasnt signed purley for the money,he's a Nottingham lad who graduated through Notts youth squad and has often said that he supports Notts and would love to finish his career with them, I've got to admit that I'm surprised that he signed though because Derby wanted him to stay and had put a decent offer on the table, pleased to see him back though

Tranmere Rovers signed Luke Norris (striker)  on a one-year contract. The 30-year-old helped Stevenage win promotion to League One last season but was not offered a new contract. Norris won Stevenage’s Player of the Year award in 2021/22 after scoring 15 goals in all competitions, and followed that up with 14 goals in the 2022/23 season, helping Stevenage gain automatic promotion along the way.  After graduating from Brentford’s youth academy, Norris made his debut for the Bees’ senior side in 2011 and made five appearances for the first team. Since 2014 he has played for  Gillingham, Swindon Town and Colchester United prior to joining Stevenage in January 2021.  Norris’ goals helped Stevenage to a second placed finish last season, with the striker a regular in the starting line-up throughout the campaign.

Very little there which makes you think other clubs are doing better business than us. Pattison to Bradford and Norris to Tranmere look like decent signings, but beyond that it’s all rather beige.
