This is a long, poor run of form and he just doesn't seem to have any answers (other than another signing)
Time is up

Not a cat in hell's chance of us making the play-offs without a dramatic change so we might as well do something drastic.

Really do not understand how anyone can justify keeping him. Just pure delusion at this point. That record in the conference just stinks

Could just about put up with a bad run if there was something obviously being built for next season. But the signings this window have been loans or short term contracts. There is no obvious game plan and 11 years after first getting a job managing Town he STILL hasn't worked out a plan B.
Got to go and I think that will be that for his managerial career.

Hurst, a bit like Buckley in his first spell, brought a lot of good players to the club when he first came, mainly from lower down. He built his reputation on those players and took a lot of them with him to Shrewsbury for more success. But they have largely stopped playing now and he doesn't seem to be able to pluck the type of player from obscurity that he used to be able to. Recruitment was always his strongest card but his powers there are waning and exposing other areas where he is not so strong more.

If we were looking for a manager, would we be considering one with a 10% winning record over more than 100 games or one with a most recent record of one win in 14 for a club of our size in the National League?
If the answer is no to both questions, then why is Paul Hurst still our manager?

Good time to get someone new in. Plenty of time to assess squad for next season without any danger of getting relegated. This continues under Hurst any longer, it lessens our chances of promotion next season by reducing the time a new manager has to prepare..
