I would argue that even the thread on Twitter is in violation of their policies as it has identifying information:

From: https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/personal-information

Under this policy, you can’t share the following types of private information, without the permission of the person who it belongs to:

    home address or physical location information, including street addresses, GPS coordinates or other identifying information related to locations that are considered private;

I have no axe to grind for JF but I couldn’t help drafting the libel claim in my head as I read the thread.

I've seen a house for sale in an upmarket area of North East Lincolnshire. I googled the address and it told me that the person that has/had businesses registered there has a middle name that sounds like what Elton Johns mum might have said when he was making too much noise, "Sh Elton."

So? Your house might be up for sale. It's a private matter. That's why most people use estate agents.

Seriously, a thread linked to another publicly available web page on the internet. People commented on its content. Tell me what’s wrong with that.

I bought a house right at the beginning of the pandemic. Due to the fact that that so few house sales were going through at the time, a local newspaper featured it as one of the top 10 most expensive completions in the area where I live (again, I repeat, because so few sales were going through, not because I’m some new money flash cúnt with a snooker table and an interior that looks like it has been designed by the same person who created the original set of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).

It had a photo of the house. There were even a few comments from the general public. Did I like it? Not really, but what can I do about publications publishing freely available information and photographs? Absolutely fúck all, and I accept that. That’s the beauty of the internet and the modern age.

Rob, you do a fúcking amazing job in running this site. Genuinely, all those years ago when the forum disappeared,  it left a massive gap in my internet browsing habits and I’ve never quite recovered from the amount of masturbation I had to do just to fill that gap. I’ll never take The Fishy for granted.

But you can’t just censor the free internet. When you become a public figure, particularly of your own volition, you open yourself up to a loss of privacy. You can’t have one without the other.

And if someone can’t tolerate a bit of ridicule of their pelmets and dado rails, I suggest they have a word with some top flight footballers who are subjected to a whole lot worse on the internet, day in, day out. Particularly those of certain ethnicities.

People need to grow some balls.

Rightmove seemed happy to advertise the exact location of Phil Neville’s house:

If he was bothered about privacy he’d have used a discreet vendor that specialises in large properties, not rightmove.

I know he’s thrown a wobbler on here from time to time and has made plenty of threats etc, not to mention the passive aggressive DMs he’s sent many of us but even he’s have to realise that other than saying people think his decor looks like a Grattons catalogue from 1982, that’s all it is, an opinion. Much like his opinion is he was a good custodian of the club…

You should show more respect for your moderators you are putting them in a difficult position with the personal abuse which is prevalent on here to whoever it is directed.

Not sure questioning someone’s decor is personal abuse…

Ridiculous. John Fenty’s private address is all over Companies House website.
