I don't think Adkins is mad enough to end his career with relegation at Scunthorpe and lose his legend status in the process.

I listened to it on my walk. The bit about refusing to put money in unless 1000 extra people turn up was frightening.

Basically blaming the fans for no investment then blackmailing them into coming back ..he sounds a bit of a fruit loop who taking no blame for the situation they are in ..all sounds a bit too familiar although Fenty never sold us up the river with the ground ..probably because the land is worth next to nowt on the grand scheme of things.

I'm assuming Swann owns the car park too. Without a football club occupying it 23 times a year, it's worth an absolute fortune.

Job description

Manager needed for unambitious club thriving to be bottom of League 2 and aiming for a place in the National League to replace Grimsby Town who will be promoted. The club is under a transfer embargo and as such the only funds available will have to come out of your pocket. The chairman will not be investing, nor will the fans that are left.

We are looking for an ambitious person who wants to add manager of a league 2 club to their CV. You will have to live on bullsh!t and hype and learn to say three magical words ' Yes Mr. Swann'. Salary will be by deferred shares in Wilko depending on how good our losses are. We will arrange for accommodation in the club car park for a caravan or tent. Planning permission will not be needed as it will not be permanent as, if your success gets us relegated, the land will be sold for housing and the club will be relocated, somewhere.

Only seriously minded egotistical people should apply and enclose a £1,000 non-refundable cash application fee.

Holloway as manager, Slade as assistant and Mike Newell as head nutritionist sounds like a pretty winning combination to me.
