I’ve always been a BBC man but the ITV coverage has been better so far.

McCoist
Gary Neville
Keane
Hayes
Aluko
Ian Wright
Nigel de Jong - he’s been a revelation...

...plus the added bonus of Seema Jaswal, now unleashed on full presenting duties.

Yeah I'd agree ITV winning so far. Sam Matterface the only negative so far for me, Clive.

De Jong usually works on bein's Premier League coverage - hopefully one day he'll 2 foot Richard Keys.

I'm not really fussed either way but appreciate that some people seem to get really wound up by presenters, commentators and pundits. Almost as if they bizzarely ruin their enjoyment of the game. ITV probably have the edge for me, despite the adverts. I love Roy Keane and his miserly angry man persona and also McCoist's co-commentary, as if he is having the time of his life. More personality on ITV for me.

BBC lost a massive amount of esteem for me when they didnt cut to studio during Eriksons incident, the later "it wasnt our camera footage" excuse was shite and also a day or so later Lineker had a little pop/ comment at Eufa after BBC showed  the K Schmeichel interview....something along the lines of "EUFA should have done the right thing and given them a point each"........you should have done the right thing and cut the footage

Try watching it online. ITV Hub is total gash, it makes Ifollow look world-class.  Missed all 3 goals in the Portugal game due to the never-ending buffering and have given up on Germany France coz it's pissing me off so much. I will just watch the highlights on Iplayer later instead

Sad to say but the BBC is old hat now, some of the programmes they used to make are legendary but the dross they are putting out now simply isn't worth the license fee.

Can't see it lasting much longer in its current format, most of the good stuff now is on Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.

I actually enjoyed the insight with lampard etc during the England game but, linekar just sounds like one of those annoying songs the pis5ed bloke in the pub keeps putting on the jukebox.

It would just be great to see a programme along the lines of fantasy football to run alongside the competition

Disagree. Still much prefer BBC. ITV still feels a bit naff. Turned on the lead up to the Germany-France game and they spent ages talking about that Gazza goal and asking the French bloke leading questions about it. Embarrassing.

Then there’s all the excrement ads. There’s only so many cups of tea and trips to the bog you can do.

Pougatch did dwell on the Vieira v Keane rivalry too long to be fair.

Keane gave Pougatch a sideways, cheeky grin that suggested Pougatch probably needs to check his brakes before he drives home.

To be honest I lost interest and went for a walk before it kicked off. The game I mean, not Keane kicking off.

Saw most of the second half having missed all of the adverts and switched off as soon as the whistle went. Think I will need a few drinks inside me to tolerate it on Friday.

I'd take either.  I have to watch on Vietnamese TV.  It's not the fact that I can't understand anything but they get excited when somebody crosses the halfway line.

The licence also pays for ITV, so you best not be watching any of that either...

I must have missed the bit on the BBC highlights package last night when ‘woke clown’ Rob Green snowflake-soapboxed his way through Marxist subjects such as Hungary’s anti-LGBT legislation and Arnautovic’s anti-Albanian rant.

But if you spotted it, good for you.

I picked up on that too.

Rumours on GB News that Lineker, Shearer and Richards have been asked to drop the second ‘z’ in Gazza whenever they discuss Euro 96 on Friday, in solidarity with their Palestinian Marxist brothers.

Just to be clear...

You need a TV licence to watch TV. It's true that TV licence payments fund the BBC, but you can't just stop paying for your TV licence and watch other channels. That's illegal.

If you don't like the BBC, don't watch it. If you don't like the fact that TV licence money goes to the BBC, write to your MP.

My bro wrote with glee on social media that he'd stopped paying his TV licence fee as he hated the 'woke left-leaning snowflakes' on the BBC. The fact that he gets irritated by the BBC makes him a snowflake, not that he agrees of course.

Another master stroke by the government media machine is to convince the hard of thinking that the BBC is a Marxist, left leaning organisation.

Quite happy to pay the license fee myself.

Think the coverage from both sides is ok in the main, with annoying bits thrown in. Prefer it without the adverts, so BBC my preference. I just ignore boring gits like Shearer or Jenas babbling on.

What many people fail to realise is that they pay without having any choice whatsoever for all the other channels that are solely funded by advertising. The companies that advertise simply put that cost onto the products that you pay for every day.

The agenda against the BBC is clearly rising in momentum (mainly due to both brexiteers and remainers complaining they were biased) which kind of proves they weren’t. What we’ll end up with is. BBC subscription service which costs twice the price for half the content currently provided.

Having spent a year in Australia, where every channel has adverts every 6 mins, I value the BBC highly.

I've paid to watch the BBC, no problem.
So why do I have to have so many repeats to fill the screen which I have already paid for. Surely a refund is in order as I have viewed the original and don't need to watch it again.

If you don't think the BBC's coverage is biased to the left, then that's because your political persuasion is that way too. Hard to tell if it's specifically left or if it's more critical of the government that's in power, but the reporters who are obviously left wing are constantly adding their narrative on events into a story where I just want the facts. Tell me what ridiculous thing BJ has done today and I'll make my mind up whether it's just Boris being Boris, or it's actually a bad decision that will affect the country negatively.

The commentators on both channels are annoying. Just the crowd noises for me or it's on mute.
Find the before, during and after chats with the 'guests' a complete waste of time. Same old drivel time after time.
Jonathan Pearce and 'I've done it all (but not very good' Robbie Savage are by far the worst of the bunch.
Shearer would do well working for an Undertaker he has the ability to bore you to death.

Rant over.

Not bothered what channel, I switch on about a min before kickoff, do something else during half time switch off again within moments of the final whistle. Sorted, I have no idea whos presenting and commenting but assume it was Savage interjecting at the Wales game last night.

ITV have definitely upped their game this tournament whereas BBC seem to have treaded a bit of water.  Their format is tired now and needs a refresh.  Linker, Shearer and the old guard need shaking up with something that's more than Micah Richards (who is excellent in my opinion, although in danger of becoming diluted a little).

The Beeb itself, I still think the licence fee is excellent value.  Is their a left leaning agenda? Maybe, maybe not.  But felicitations sake, it's not difficult to turn over to a different channel if you don't like what you're seeing.

The dramas and documentaries the BBC produce are worth the licence fee alone in my eyes.

Shearer and Ferdinand have improved significantly but they offer neither the pantomime menace of Keane or the analytical skills of G Nev.

I haven’t seen the BT Sport coverage since they started trying to charge me for it but I used to like it when they used football journalists on the punditry panel. The likes of Juliens Laurens and Rapha Honigstein (the Schafernaker of the footballer world).

Plus parachute James Richardson in to present the coverage from a tiramisu obscured piazza.

The best football programme on TV used to be the European football show with James Richardson. All the pundits were knowledgable about the games, the country and the history of the clubs etc.

BT got rid…I kind gave up after that…

Yeah, Souness isn’t great.

ITV need to save him for the France matches so he can rip into Paul Pogba like a high pitched fart.

Beg to differ. On my local link I have 3 Hull stories and a link to Leeds. When RH won an award they had a bus trip around Hull, apparently, the rest of their area was nonexistent.

They paid Cliff Richards millions for wrong a wrong news story and never learned the lesson. The Bashir scandal proved this.

Documentaries, well didn't Attenborough use a zoo to film polar bears and not the Artic? Some are saying that DAB radio is past its time and trying to listen to it depends where you are.

Then there are the repeats, paid for the original program so why do I have to pay for the repeat. Buy a record/cd play it, do you have to pay again to listen to it?

What I will say is that the BBC was once absolutely brilliant but also now it's like a Dinosaur and out of its depth.

You must be to the right of Genghis Khan if you think the BBC has a left wing bias.

Rant over.

Bring back Ken Wolstenholme!
