Latest email to Sam. I sent this yesterday and he has replied today to say that he will be in touch soon with the details to transfer the money to.

As expected the 2 players who got the most votes were Giles Coke and Ben Fox, so we would like to sponsor those 2 players for next season. Not sure how long the printing allows for but we would like it to read - Sponsored by "Fans from The Fishy Forum, The Independent GTFC fans site". If that is too long then just the first 5 words will do.

Can you let me know the next steps I need to take as to getting the funds over to you. As I mentioned previously, I currently hold £1275.25 and we would like the overpayment to go to the Grimsby Town YDA.

Just a quick update on this.

I'm still waiting to hear from Sam again.

I have just received the bank details from Sam and have just transferred over the total amount we raised of £1275.25.

This will cover the sponsorship of the 2 players (Giles Coke and Ben Fox) and the extra of £135.25 I have asked to go to the YDA.

When I get some sort of receipt back from the club I will post it on here.

Thanks to everyone who donated, a brilliant effort by you all.

Just the matter of sorting out who gets the shirt presented by the players we sponsor.
If anyone knows of a worthy youngster  ( or in fact two ) I’m quite happy for them to have it.

Either that, or see if we can beg/plead with people at the club and try to get the whole squad to sign it and then auction them off with all monies raised going back to the YDA or the new girls teams

Not had any acknowledgement fron the club yet that the money was received, despite an email reminder this morning.

I'm popping down to the ground to get my ticket for McKeown's testimonial tomorrow lunch time, so if I don't hear anything by then I'll mention it.

I just want some sort of receipt so that I can post it on here to confirm that the money was sent.
