To give the players their due we didn't deserve to be relegated off todays performance. Holloway and Fenty  copulated us over and the covid clauses have turned out to be a urine take when every other team gambled. At least Hirst got us going toward the end there but we haven't had any luck all season so this seems like an apt end to it all.

JT with some scathing comments at the end of the game. Blaming covid clauses, signing poor players, Holloway, Fenty, headbutting own team mates etc etc...

A sorry state of affairs.

Pity he didn't put those questions forward in interviews instead of the standard ones posed.

The players who played tonight didn’t in fact I thought once again the likes of Coke & Shop, Clifton, Hewitt where really good.

The reality is that this relegation was cast months ago.

There are some bitter people on here who'll second guess absolutely anything if it means they can get a dig in at Hurst. Not sure how they're blaming him or the players when we've been blatantly screwed over by the referee and were comfortably the better side until the questionable red card, and arguably even up until he decide to ignore the foul on McKeown before they equalised.

Unfortunately it comes down to intelligence and there are a lot of people on here who just don't have a lot of it, can't read a game and just don't understand it. Hurst hasn't done a bad job, it just took too long to get the team to gel. But was that his fault? He didn't get his team together until end of January and then it was with hardly any money, as we have had 2 1st teams this season, therefore had to split the budget. Add to that the fact he had to attract players to Grimsby, a place we struggle to attract players anyway and he hasn't done a bad job.

I can't go as far as say he did a good job as at the end of the day we are getting relegated. But I had us relegated 10 games ago, yet the last 5/6 games, barring 1, we have been good, maybe even very good for the quality of players out there. We were one silly decision away from mounting the unthinkable of escapes. Win tonight and I could of actually seen us stay up. But it wasn't to be, it's the way the cookie crumbles I'm afraid.

I know who is to blame and its not Hurst. Its the BOARD!!!! UTM!
