It could be he has thrown something else into the mix, or he wants to try to be top dog to the bitter end, but the quicker this is resolved the better for all our nerves.

He should have accepted the previous offer. He’s done well screwing £200,000 out of the trust as it is. He should give that money back if he gets paid in full for all his shares.

Its a figure of speech, he wants it sorted and done (quite understandably perhaps after the bile and hatred thrown at him this week) It does not mean 'Friday or I'm out' and even if there was an element of that its just more brinksmanship (which both parties have amply demonstrated and I think it's Fenty's turn again after the last Shutes statement)
