To be fair, he’s probably had 1 maybe 2 training sessions max with the squad. Definitely needs time!

Coming in at this time is a blessing and a curse. He has a transfer window and he has ideas on who he might want but he also has to see what he’s got first. The curse bit is more about the physical workload, he will have to burn a lot of miles in a short time and make some heavy decisions while still doing the PR and the day job.  He will no doubt be well paid for it but I don’t envy him.

He doesn't really need to bring in anyone, unless we can get someone who will definitely be an improvement from day one. We are not in any danger of going down and he can take a good long hard look at it over the second half of the season. Give what we have plenty of time to show what they are about.

Think we will see a left back though and probably one or two creative players/goalscorers.

We’re still in a horrible position in the table and have a meagre points tally. If we’d lost to Salford I think we’d still be worried about relegation as it would have been 16 without a win, so it’s fine margins. We’re only another bad run from the drop, so fingers crossed we build on the last 3 results, THEN we can relax a little.

I agree, that’s the day job along with the training etc. I was thinking about having to concentrate on that along with moving/commuting and all the others things he wants to do in a short space of time.

We lost a left back in Ring and are depending on a loan player in that position. I think we need a left back of our own.

I don't think we can wait- if we carry on like we have been doing the already dwindling attendances will diminish even further.

But I thought we were going to win every game 6-0 from now on using the same squad

What im saying is that we have a good enough squad now to pull clear of the bottom, it just needs a bit of confidence back and a bit of coaching. I've never felt in danger of the drop myself and think we are too well organised defensively to be in any danger of going down. Add to that there is only one spot this year, and we have time to take stock of what we have before diving into replacements. Not saying we won't bring anybody in, we most probably will, but i don't think we are in desperate times yet. There is still half a season to go.
