What was that gang of Town youths doing tying to goad the stewards behind the goal in the second half? They weren't watching the game, seems a waste of time and money to travel to Northampton to do that! Fck em!
Yeah, just embarrassing. Especially when there was a couple of guys in their 40s amidst them!!!

Was actually hoping for a couple of burly coppers to haul a few out. Saw two stewards pushed when their backs were turned.

Just frustrated as the rest of us town fans - no big deal really - a great turn out from the 597 - some interesting chants from the rowdy young uns - what’s the one about going into the pontoon with a sawn off shot gun??

No surprise there, whenever we’re losing away there’s always a bunch of sad illegitimates that decide to wind up stewards. Then they start kicking off when stewards give it back a bit.
What a life eh.

I wasn't there but there was one we used to sing in the early 70's to the tune, "Tiptoe through the tulips" by Tiny Tim. It went, "Tiptoe through the pontoon, with your boots on, and your sawn off shotgun. Tiptoe through the pontoon with me." Often immediately followed with, "Shoot the illegitimates, shoot the illegitimates, shoot shoot shoot." The boots refers to DM's that were de rigeur in those days. I remember at least one game where the police made many take them off and watch the match in their stocking feet!

I remember that too Steel toe-capped DMs were definitely not allowed in Monkey boots ( if you remember them ) were an acceptable alternative though As for stockings.... I know glam rock was a big thing but I never got in to wearing stockings

The first time I have ever seen a steward escorted out by his fellow stewards! Wtf was that about? He was still raging at us as he went out the exit

Did this steward look like Jolley by any chance?

I have just plucked up the courage to watch the highlights.
What a disappointment Cook has been. In the first few seconds of those highlights he twice loses the ball in dangerous areas with a sloppy touch. He runs a lot, mainly to try to retrieve his own mistakes, but what does he think he is trying to achieve? It is months since he had any positive impact on a game.
What actually is his preferred position?
