Just frustrated as the rest of us town fans - no big deal really - a great turn out from the 597 - some interesting chants from the rowdy young uns - what’s the one about going into the pontoon with a sawn off shot gun??

Frustrated!!!! They were embarrassing pr***s.

Makes a change, it was the team who were embarrassing in the previous match

I thought Clifton was excellent. When he brings his A game the energy on show seems to cajole his team mates around him to match his efforts and add another ten percent.

All in all a much better performance, we passed it about confidently and actually looked like a team with a plan. But Northampton are very good, full of confidence and on a role. And crucially, incisive. Unfortunately unlike early in the season when we go behind it looks like that's it. We need the strikers finishing their chances then maybe we will get that belief back that we still in it.

Think we'll be alright if we keep it stupid simple.

Maybe that's our main problem, the players aren't always giving 100%,  at our level the players are never going to be silky skilful players but without the effort then they are always going to be second best.

The squad filling out with players coming back from the treatment table can only help matters - to be able to change personnel in the wide positions of the front three to Rose and Ogbu meant we didn't weaken ourselves.

Our talisman saviour 😉 Super Max Wright coming back into the fray sooner rather than later too all being well.

Ogbu did his best to set up a couple of Northampton attacks.

He should be banned from back passes and touching the ball in our half.

He seemed like he had been told to pass pass pass (like the rest of the team) so didn't go on any of his mazy runs. And as such I think he went against dome of his natural urges and ended up passing more sideways or backwards than his pile forward style.

But him and Rose although not being ultimately effective did give Northampton something to think about, especially when others got forward to assist them with their forward pressure.

He should be given some licence to do what he does (as well as considering the passing game Limbrick trying to implement) which is to cause panic and havoc but admittedly defensively can leave us in trouble, especially in a formation where the wide man is supposed to drop back and support his fullback.

But he a wildcard, a bit of a flair player who a useful squad player to have (Imo). Can be frustrating but I like him and think there plenty to come from him if given chance. I don't think he's fully at ease yet, not fully confident or feeling at home - a few times I see him take worrying glances towards us fans for me a reminder that backing and encouraging the players (and attempts to get forward positively), even if it doesn't come off is going to help more than heckling. Especially when confidence is low.

I could see they trying, unwavering support and encouragement from us will help build that togetherness and comeraderie again instead of itching for the latest boo boy to fail.

I mildly and briefly clapped the players off at the end, whereas others booed. Don't agree with booing, I'd just walk off in silence if not happy but I've seen far far far worse performances and effort over the last couple of decades.
