I am told that we are in for little known Ivorian striker Finga Mabumole. He’s been plying his trade in the Swedish 2nd division apparantely.

Players that have played against him say he can be a right pain in the aaas

Story about the Shutes fella here
https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/jan/23/battle-grimsby-great-again

Don’t know if it’s been posted elsewhere

What a thoroughly depressing article. No wonder nobody wants to come here.

That isn't a true picture is it??

Every bloody article focuses on a dying Freeman Street and some slum houses. Every town in England has got a secondary shopping area that is on its last legs but refuses to die and every town has boarded up houses in the worst areas of it.

How many people visit Freeman Street or live next to boarded up houses? Hurry up and get the worst bits sorted and lets move on for goodnrss sake.

So will he be like the panda then, eats Shutes and leaves?

I don't live in the Town anymore and thought that Freeman Street had already died.

Robbie Fowler's Property Academy popped up on one of my adverts somewhere... Could Google be trying to to drop hints an investment in Freemo infrastructure imminent? 🤔

Saw that Grauniad article earlier when I searched for him. Then I remembered reading it last year. Wonder if there’s been any early results from his scheme yet - looked like a good idea.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

There are still shops open, so the press are able to take a picture of half a dozen shoppers traipsing down there trying to make out it is the town centre. It is absolutely ridiculous and totally unwarranted.

Like every other town  Grimsby has problems, but the council should really be answering these stories with a positive vision; the rest of the country will think Grimsby IS Freeman Street as more and more stories like this get published by a media out to belittle the town unfortunate enough to have Grim in its name. Get the eye sores sorted and lets look to the future.

Would be nice if he could combine his interest in art and Grimsby - can easily see a few of these items gracing the walls or spaces in B.P. and would also brighten up the blundell Park Hotel

Did the article say anything about investing in Grimsby Town?
