Davis is a great replacement but I thought RHJ had been doing excellently. Maybe he has a niggle. A strong team and bench, come on town bring those 3 points home UTM!

I've just got this IPTV thing, and there is a 'Grimsby town matches' channel.
Any idea what time it normally comes on?

Tough on RHJ who played well last week, but I'd imagine Swindon have more of an aerial threat so it makes sense to swap him when he's not nearly as strong in the air as the other options.

Nice to have a pretty strong-looking bench to pick from as well as real competition for places

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

It often takes us 15 minutes to get going I just hope its one fo those sorts of days and we're not in for a whole game being pinned back like this.

Ohman booked for a silly foul after making a silly mistake and being caught out.

Their Keeper just made a good save from our first effort. Good build up play we can hopefully build on.

Our midfield three aren't in this game at all. Wooly and Hess are both coming back and going behind the ball giving our Wingbacks to no one to pass to, instead of going forward giving them the option. Only one of them needs to drop back when the Wongback go forward.

On twitter it says Ohman booked then moments later he falls to the floor without anyone touching him... He's looking to get Ohman sent off.

Nothing malicous in Robinson falling over he clearly just trips over himself, none of the players or ref gave it any notice.

Two incredible stops by McKeown - the first looked a certain goal one on one. Town's defence like statues.

Too many passengers in that first half. Not sure any town player has been above 6/10 today. Would like to see Clifton and Dennis on early doors second half - think the pitch will suit them.

Clifton should come on at HT for Woolford who has been looking tired last two games.

Agree our midfields not in this game at all Hess and Wooly are sitting too deep and its inviting the pressure off Swindon, one of them needs to push up a bit more a spread Swindons midfield a little more. They're only playing one up top we shouldn't be this rushed at the back.

This is a big problem with town for me. Passing aimlessly around untill they lose it going no where. When we work it down the wing we are all waiting for the cross which never comes. If your not going to cross it why waste all thoe passes for nothing. Midfield and defenders near the halfway line passing back to the goalkeeper who boots it aimlessly upfield. All the midfielders can pass it more accurately than mac as they are 20 yards further upfield, Rdiculous?

Once again midfield are sitting too deep and we're just letting them pass the ball around at will and pick out who they want to cross too. Thankfully their crossing is very poor at the moment. We're being completely outplayed in this second half, too slow to everything.

Clifton on for Wooly. Much needed it could of been either Wooly or Hess today but I think we need Hess's pace.

Christ, we’re at 0-0 we are a mid table side, we arent barca just because we’ve won 4 in a row. Think some are being a little too critical here. Clifton on for Woolford

I'm not expecting Barca but I'm expecting us to complete. This second half we just haven't in any area. All we've done is hold Swindon off.

Seems like a decent away performance to me, are we supposed to suddenly dominate a fellow midtable team on their own turf? Sounds like a game we could nick to me

Not sure why you're getting conspiratorial about the ref. His first booking he lunged for the ball, got nowhere near behind it, got back up and then dragged his man down. Yellow card all day long. Second booking he hacks down a player running into the box. Again yellow card all day long.

flipping rubbish decision.
The bloke ran into him.
The ref wants shooting

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Bizarre view on the yellow.

Booking all day long.

Their player did the standard kick the ground thing which 100% says there was fuk all wrong with him.

Yeah in the modern game a booking but not really a foul was it.

Dennis one on one and he's skied it. He's got to start ahead of Cookie soon. Nothing against Cookie but Dennis is just a class above him even if he did just sky that one.

No way there are only 170
Diane Abbott must be doing the counting 😂

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I'll take that 1-1 away from home down to 10 men and we weren't in the game till we were down to 10 men

A good result with everything considered. Great character to get the equaliser and looked just as likely that we would get a winner as they would. Could have been even better had Cook or Dennis showed any composure at all when both 15 yards out.

Good away point in the end.
Great support again..

Think Thomas needed a excrement at the end. Gave the fans a bit of a clap and then ran down the tunnel 💩💩💩💩💩💩

Good point. I'd have taken that before kick of, and once we were a goal and a man down it would have been curtains for most of our recent line ups, but not this one. Straight back in it and then competed well for a point.

I'm not expecting Barca but I'm expecting us to complete. This second half we just haven't in any area. All we've done is hold Swindon off.

That's the plan, defend and hopefully spring a counter attack!

We got a goal today when a reall cross came in. If we had been doing that all through the game we might have won this game, We are nnot getting the best from this team. Newport got plenty of crosses in and should have scored more. Poor tactics IMO. If we seriously want to get into the playoffs i dont see it.

Good point in the end.
Similar teams IMO .
Both a little short up front, both capable of moments of utterly awful defending.

If we are to play this contain and counter style we need genuine pace to deploy it, much prefer our higher press game.

Pitch seemed pretty bobbly today which didnt help some of our play.  When Dennis went through at 1-1 i thought there was only going to be one outcome but he fluffed his lines.

Macca a couple of good saves, the 1v1 he won on the stroke of half time was fantastic.... but again looking shaky on the crosses, Swindon scored, hit the post and put one over all from crosses flighted in and around the 6 yd line.

Ohman...two crap challenges..two yellow cards all day long IMO but actually made us look a bit better...we have had plenty of practice at it i suppose.

A rare draw, another point, extended unbeaten, still in with an outside chance.   UTM

Thought  we were poor today till Swindon scored, Complete lack of pace at the back and missed RHJ defensively covering and attacking. Sat back far too much and let too many crosses into the box and allowed massses of space for them around 25 yrds out giving them chance to run at us.  Pity Dennis missed his best chance but he has to start over Cook who has not looked like scoring last 2 games. Def 2 yellows for Ludwig. Good comeback but I think they were frail enough that if we had really gone for it at the beginning and showed attacking intent we would now have a positive goal difference.

The Ohman second yellow was almost the same as the one on Cook against Yeovil. That was a definite yellow and so was the one today Just a blatant deliberate block!

Yes but we weren't even close to sprinigng a counter attack. All we could do was hoof the ball clear under pressure for it to come straight back. Midfield were too deep and just allowed Swindon to dictate the game were as in previous games Yeovil and Newport and in parts Cheltenham.

13 points from 15... I'd say the tactics are just fine!

Blimey we have got some "wannabe sports journalists" on here havent we!
Whilst I value all opinions I dont agree we played poorly today. I know what poorly is and it wasnt today for me. That was several months under the bald one.
Can we play better...yes! Could we have lost it....yes. Could we have won it.....yes! Would we have deserved it....who cares!!
For me today was a perfect example of seeing the progress we have made and the progress we have yet to make. Two teams in the middle if the table in arguably the right positions but we are making progress slowly but surely. Great support today yet again

Bloody hell I wouldn't like to stand in your shadow. Their striker was tall - unless his stupid haircut made him look bigger.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
