Ticket update: currently 40,265 have been sold on a 2.4 to 1 ratio Bristol to Town

Edit: This came from @conferencefooty and mentions nothing about neutral sales so it's a completely useless even trying to do the maths!

"Pound for pound, and class for class, the best football team I have seen in England since the war. In the league they were in they played football nobody else could play. Everything was measured, planned and perfected and you could not wish to see more entertaining football." Bill Shankly, Manager GTFC 1951-54

Roughly 12000 ish then. The Neutral sales won't be included as they were all released to the clubs they were bought from.

and as i watched Mike Brolley slap two past Everton in front of 22,000 fans I never thought i would be watching Town play dull as dishwater football in non league...but there you go.

1) That was 35 years ago

2) Surely you go to a play off final to support your team not to watch entertaining football? No matter what Sky tells us you get good and bad games at all levels, especially in play off finals. This town team aren't as entertaining as sides from the past but they're certainly better to watch than some of the dross we've had. For their effort this season I think they deserve better support in our biggest game for nearly a decade.

40,224 at 2.4 to 1 ratio? That's 16,760. I used the ratio calculators.

but not your brain!

if we have sold 16760 and Bristol 2.4 times that the overall attendance would be  approx 57,000

I used my brain and added the two ratios to make 3.4. Divided the total by 34 and then multiplied by 10 to give us 11,800 odd. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Back to school!

40,224 * 2.4/3.4 = 28,394 (BRFC)
40,224 * 1/3.4 = 11,830 (GTFC)
