Anyone we played in the World Cup or Euros will have been on TV so my list would include

W Germany
USSR
E Germany
Czechoslovakia
Serbia&Montenego
Romania?
Yugoslavia

There was also a Rest Of The World international that I think was broadcast in 1963 as part of the FA Centenary.

I don't remember us ever playing East Germany???

We beat them 3-1 in 1970 and 1-0 in 1984.

AND

In 1974 drawing 1-1

We never played them in a competition but I seem to think we did have friendlies as warm ups for the Euros & World Cup. I can remember the 1970 and 1984 games being shown, probably only as highlights though.

Didnt Nigel Martyn make his debut against the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in about 1992?

England have definitely played both Southern and Northern Rhodesia, albeit whether they are classed as full internationals for the purpose of earning a cap I'm not 100% sure.

The list you have there Rob misses out many teams that England, or more commonly the Football Association on tour, have played - especially in Africa / South Africa like Griqualand West, Natal Province and the orange Free State. I used to have a number of programmes involving "England" in Africa in the 1950's, and they can still be picked up relatively cheaply, usually for between £15 to £20 each.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I bet Pete listened to the game against Saar on the wireless. Shortly before the Hun took it back again.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
