I'll be rooting for MKD if it comes to it and not the stadium thieves.

As opposed to the team who stole a clubs entire history and identity you mean?

I don't really care who wins if they play.

MK Dons is marginally easier to spell but AFC Wimbledon is higher alphabetically - its a close call.

Exactly. If Winkleman wanted to set up a football club in MK, he should have done it the way AFCW did, ie start from the bottom...or plough his money into the existing club at MK.

I don't see how a club wanting to build a stadium on a dog track is much different from a club building on someone's allotments / houses / businesses. They will receive payment/ compensation whereas the Wimbledon fans got nothing.

It was actually existing clubs... MK Borough and MK City as I recall it

Or he could simply have chosen Bletchley or Wolverton who were established well before the "new city" got beyond concept stage

AFC Wimbledon may be doing wrong in Rob's eyes but imho MK "Dons" should NEVER EVER have been allowed by the FA...an absolute sham(e)

They didn't lose anything either. Their team was moved (from nowhere as they didn't have a home and faced oblivion) to Milton Keynes which is quite close to London anyway. Some fans stayed with MKD, most chose to support a new club, it was their choice.

For people who race dogs and the many thousands of spectators who watch it in London there is nothing on the table to replace it and nowhere else to go.

But using wimbledons history (and more importantly, league status).

How the FA ever allowed this to happen is beyond me.

Agreed, the rules have been tightened since hopefully.
