Ive read the book !
like many others on here i cant remember him at the football around that time but i think even in his book he admits that he moved away at the age of 21 so i doubt he was much of a player in Grimsbys mob in that era.I supose back in the late 80s early 90s when we was on a roll there would have been hundreds of young kids causing aggro at the football.
I dont know anything about his personal experiences,but if he's prepared to put them down in writing and people are willing to buy it then good luck to him.
If the book had been written about a lad from any other town theres no way id have bought it,its worth a read for the local refrences ect but i wouldnt think its going to become a classic

just got the book;had a quick flick through and he says he grew up in springfield close in a rough part of scartho.is there a rough part of acrtho and is there actually a springfield close?? my grandma and auntie live in scartho and i only know springfield road, which ain't a bad place at all

maybe it would of been better if the bloke didn't look and sound like a "towie wannabe" i reckon someone should write a book about the escapades of the c.b.p. it would have the lot, violence,drugs,crime,early deaths from drug related issues,police car chases,banter.....the g.h.s always were an afterthought if my memory serves me correct

Maybe you should write it, you seem to have the inside angle!

Find out the difference between 'of' and 'have' first though!

Indeed, the recent JW imprisonment just brought it all back.
There is definitely enough material for a book or even a film.
