If he runs, which i think he will,  Neptune Collonges - missed Cheltenham this  year for for a reason - third in the Gold  Cup 3 years ago, class horse, got a decent weight & normally a good jumper, although to be fair he has never tried the National fences,  but is trained by the champion Trainer - could be the first grey to win the National in decades - 25/1!

I love u!!! Ur tip (Neptune collonges just won me money!!

Oh well, not a bad result this year. Only 2 innocent horses killed.

Never mind, I'm sure all the winners are just happy counting their blood money.

All sports have risks - your post is poor.

Maybe Muamba's family should campaign to stop football?  F1 has to go surely.  Rugby - too many paraplegics, lets have rid of that.  Boxing?  Gone.  Blah, blah, blah.  The horses wouldn't even be bred if it wasn't for racing, so lets not pretend they are dragged kicking and neighing from some sunny meadow somewhere to Aintree.

Have to agree. The horses love to race, they enjoy it. It is sad that some die but most sports have risks.

Exactly! Also, Racing horses are raised and cared for like no other animal. They are magnificent creatures, they are trained by the best, get the bed vet care, the best conditions. The issue should be with some of these spoiled brats who get horses at a young age, never ride them, think mucking them out once on a saturday morning is acceptable and feed them crap.
It pisses me right off that this debate only ever comes around at National time.... what about all the other race meetings? Its total bullshit.
