Watched Spartacus for the first time, lots of blood and guts plenty of sexy ladies but the acting is totally woeful! Blues Blood is about the same awful acting.

Pete vs Life
Big Bang Theory
Mrs Brown's Boys are all favourites at the moment,

Having said that you still cant beat some longer running shows like QI and Have I Got News For You.

The Wire was the best thing I've seen in a long while. Watched Birdsong, wasn't a great fan of it but then usually, things from a book don't tend to turn out that great (except Band of Brothers!). Never really liked Boardwalk Empire despite loving prohibition era American history, I just really couldn't get into it.

Agree with you about The Wire and loved The Sopranos as well. Looking forward to the next series of Mad Men and just started Friday Night Lights which I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy. Sky Atlantic are showing the whole of Seinfeld from the beginning so I'm all over that but think Curb Your Enthusiasm is probably the funniest thing ever made.

I actually really enjoyed Birdsong though I know lots didn't. I've never read it so maybe that helped. Band Of Brothers was obviously an amazing series - my wife actually worked on it though so it's pretty difficult to watch without her interrupting with various anecdotes!

Dont know if it has been mentioned yet but if you like The Wire, The Shield etc then I would highly reccomend the US prison drama Oz, great storys if very brutal and the characters are brilliant. You can pick up each series for under a tenner now too.

Watched all 12 episodes of Homeland.  My new favourite.  I switched off Walking Dead half way through, very disappointed having waited 3 months for its return.  I am sure it will get better.

Oz was a great series, highly recommended.  Luck is seriously frustrating, very hard to understand the dialogue.  Constantly rewinding scenes, but I do like Dustin Hoffman.

Did anyone see Jericho?  Only made two series, very good.

QI is always great, and Big Bang Theory too.

Ok, I am off to watch a couple of episodes of Over There, see what it is like.

As I said, TV is far better than movies at the moment.

Currently watching Pacific, which is from the same makers as Band of Brothers and very much in the same vein.

Not quite as excellent as BoB,but very good all the same.
