Would be very happy with Zola. Experienced and definitely a target man. Always played in the football league too so would be great at this level

Nothing against Zola but just because they have played in the FL it doesnt always follow that they are great in the Conference.

I think it takes a certain character to be able to handle a Tuesday night at Altrincham or Braintree in front of 5-600 fans when all you have known is FL ( i appreciate the likes of Accrington dont always  get  much bigger gates).

Calvin Zola is to good for our level.

If we signed him we would in no doubt won the league imo.

Can't see him coming though.

Calvin Zola would be a good shout . I thought he was way older than 30 . Seems like he's been around for years . Was it him that scored a quality goal for Oldham at BP on Boxing Day ?

Yes - that was a cracking match, 3-3 if I remember correctly.

Actually, Oldham were superb that day. They could've had six or seven, think they hit the woodwork a fair few times. Zola and Jermaine Johnson kept tearing our defence apart. In fact they got Tony Crane sent off after only 20 minutes!

We were lucky to get a point - mainly because Jevons scored two crackers. All three of their goals were high quality too.

The late Earnie Cookesy was immense that day too.  I think he hit the post twice.
