I use to along with this logic, which seems right. However, these players are paid professional athletes. Whilst we have had the cup run which has added to the 46-game program they only have to perform at their best for 90 minutes (+extra time) per game, that is 90 minutes ( call it 2 hours ) out of a 40 hour week.

How many people on here would like to perform at their best for only 2 hours per week? Tell the boss you're practising your keyboard skills, driving the van for 2 hours or having a nap while the factory stops. Bloody hell you'd be sacked and industry would fall apart.

Red cross me if you like but yesterday against Hartlepool you could have put Cleethorpes Town or Grimsby Borough on the pitch and they would have performed better as semi-professionals. some of which will have other jobs.

52 weeks X 3 = 156 matches!  That apart it has been 2 games in a 7 day period, is 4 hours of hard graft too much for professional athletes out of a 40 hour week and 2 days off?

It’s clearly a factor but at times it’s seemed like we have a Saturday team and a Tuesday team, you do need to rotate a bit for sure but some weeks there has been too many changes.

I think you mean 2 matches a week there is only one Saturday in a week

I am inclined  to agree with you !!As i drove away from the Gillingham game where i thought we should have won cursing and swearing  ...Next game was Northampton .
