You can't go near the Argies without them hitting the deck.  If that was Wrexham , Stevenage etc against us, they'd be uproar.

I've been reading about how some of the French players have been isolating due to illness and I wonder how much of their lethargy is because they are unwell?

Exactly what England needed to do 4 years ago, easy run (I'd suggest their's this year was easier than ours in 2018 ), beat draw merchants Croatia in the semi-final and earn yourself a one off game against France - bonus if like today so far France don't show up.

Still, this is an Argentina side that threw a 2 goal lead in the quarters, tried their best to do the same against Australia in the round before, and also lost from ahead against Saudi Arabia. That's what France need to remember.

This bug…what was it? There is history here with bribes  - Argentina (78 )Qataris (probably most of the time) and mystery bugs in World Cup camps (England 70)…good to have a bit of conspiracy theory

The papers were reporting that we had a a bug in our squad in the week before the France game and there was some sort of thought in the French camp that they might have caught it from our players during that match!

I was getting to ready to post that pre-tournament I thought Argentina had no chance, with the main reason being Otamendi at CB.

In a flash he shows why he’s been so unreliable in his career.

Although I don’t know how Rabiot wasn’t sent off for that tackle De Paul. Scissored him (not like that).
