At a time when it appeared some players in the team weren't that arsed about playing or had mysterious injuries that kept them out of the squad at least he was knocking on the managers door and jumping through hoops to get a chance.

And of course , he at least scored a couple of goals which is more than half of his team mates managed.

I had totally forgotten that Scannell plays for us. Is he still injured?

Can see how somebody who is positive and driven can come off as arrogant, especially if they aren't getting in the team. Locally we tend to have a collective apathy and negativity where people make friends from moaning about things so maybe the local lads share that attitude of self deprecation that Jackson did not. I do find it funny that they only have nice things to say about local lads though that reflects your own personal preferences.

in the pontoon end smashed a volley/half volley (can't remember which) was a cracking goal

Actually plenty of names were mentioned in a positive way some have gone some still here he just highlighted max and Harry are proper good lads
