Can't blame the lad for taking a professional contract when offered it by our previous manager and moving away from friends and family in the middle of a pandemic must have been tough. It sounds as though his attitude and application have always been good, but you need to have more than that to make it as a pro. If expect he'll do a decent job for a lower division team so good luck to him with his next move.

Can’t fault his attitude at all it’s definitely top class, but it seems like his another player who has suddenly got a lot better as soon as his left us.

Echo the thoughts of others that he was a lovely lad and always came across very well. Hope he gets fixed up with a club soon.

He should be able to find a team at this level IMO.
He offered more than i ever see in Ahkeem Rose, and he seems to be playing in this league.

Good attitude, tried to get PH to change his mind, which is good on him, but just not near the standard we need

When you see McAtee and Taylor play it's clear that Hurst wants to bring in players who are more the finished article than raw talent who may or may not eventually make the grade.

Jackson gave it a go, and credit to him for that. I wish him well for the future, but he is not what we need right now.

Yep - and McAtee is 3 years younger than him too!

Not knocking Jackson's attitude, as it clearly is a good one.  But Rose showed a lot of potential, if from little else through his sheer pace.  Rose never really got going, probably because of his injuries which made it difficult for him to progress.

Jackson on the other hand didn't really seem to possess anything to suggest he had an attribute that would lend itself to the team other than a work ethic.

Hope the lad goes onto prove us wrong and have a successful career, but I doubt we'll be looking on in 18 months time thinking he was one that slipped through the net.

I agree that hursts go to position is the ‘finished’ article, but Sousa would show that he is still willing to look at the unproven, just not filling a team half full of them as Holloway seemed to think was a good idea

People say he had a great attitude on the back of long interviews with the media. We don't see what he's like day to day, Paul Hurst does.
