This is a prime example of Brexit Britain. I post a statistical fact and I get red crosses because it doesn’t fit with the narrative some people want. When did some people start to think that their opinion has more weight than fact/reality?

I’ll be honest Golly, I gave you a Red Cross. It was nothing to do with the post, it was to do with the tone of it. I often give you green ticks (as you have a lot of knowledge - or know where to find it very quickly) but also give you red crosses when you just state ‘Incorrect’, ‘wrong’, or ‘not true’ in an abrupt way. You may be correct in what you are saying, but for me it can come across as either rude or patronising. You may not mean it, but it’s how I read it.

I’m not usually a snowflake (far from it according to the kids), but that kind of thing jars me.

Thought I would be honest and let you know why I gave you a Red Cross. Maybe others feel the same.

Can't understand why, if it bothers you, why you don't just disable the red/green cross thingys. I have so don't have to worry about them.

Just remembered Donovan did too I think. Wigan at home in 97/98 season. One of the fouls for the penalties was about 5 yards outside the area but forward momentum of the players fooled the officials.

Correct!

Didn't we have his older brother on trial a few years back.

Sure I can remember him scoring for us in a pre-season friendly.

I wonder what happened to him as I've not heard about him since.

Does nobody remember this then or am I just imagining it.

QUIZ: what do Lee Ashcroft, Kevin Donovan and Alan Pouton have in common?

(there'll be other players who fit into this category too but I've not thought of them)

They all wore lady's underwear whilst playing professional football.
They all owned bearded dragons.
They all had their cars serviced at Genney Motors.......
