Hadn't Torres already tailed off prior to his move to Chelsea?
Iam not sure as Iam not a Liverpool fan but loosely follow football as a whole. As I remember it Abrahamovich desperately wanted him and Fernando Torres wanted to leave for in his eyes a club with bigger challenges.

I’ll stick  with Ollie knowing what he’s doing. If he signs him good, if he doesn’t, so be it.

Thick as 2 short planks south of Whatfud

What’s that got to do with the price of fish?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Bogle would be a gamble, that's for sure. Some fans have mentioned an attitude he had last time around. If anyone's capable of bringing out the best of players I reckon Oliie's as good as anyone.

What nobody's factored in at the moment though, is that professional football will probably change beyond recognition whenever it comes back. Sponsors? Probably too busy paying off government grants to keep in business, or maybe even out of business themselves. With the likes of SKY seeing their cash cow disappearing from their eyes I can envisage clubs advising their players it's drastic pay cuts or move on. For the much older fan like myself, it could herald a return to the days before BIG money destroyed the game as we knew it.

When you consider such a scenario Omar's return might not seem that much pie in the sky?

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

Back of my mind seems to think he went through a spell where he couldn't buy a goal yet Chelsea came in with mega money for him....then Liverpool spunked most of it up the wall on Andy Carroll.  I think they got Luis Suarez as well so swings and roundabouts.
