Something is drfinately brewing.  On Maccs forum they say their board have offered JA a new contract sounds like last ditch tactics.  If your not interested you come out and say no im staying.  When nothing is said then theres usually something in it.  Aint that right Doigy oh wait you didnt know lol.  

I would be happy with John what he has fone at Macclesfield is commendable.

Personally he doesn't fill me with joy nor does he fill me with despair. He struggled a lot in his first stint at Macclesfield and that is concerning, he was then allowed to build a team and after some struggles it seems he's got there. He's got a poor budget which is credit to him, what he does have is a good location to attract players and he was allowed time to build, he doesn't have either here.

With him at the helm I'm still not 100% (or 10000% if you're Bentley) he'll keep us up but he's certainly earnt the chance to.

When you say the coming days do you mean before Exeter or would it be next week now?

I'd hate to be in JF shoes right now.  If JA says no, then i haven't a scooby doo who id like.

I dont want a merry go round manager like Sheridan who will be back at Oldham before u know it lol.

Id much rather have either an ex prem player looking to get into management like Nolan (although not sure if he was the reason Orient got relegated) or a manager from below us.  Id have accepted PB based on his experience. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm sure he'll do a grand job and rebuild in the summer if he get's the job. Do Macclesfield have decent league 2 type players that would jump ship want paying also?

Let me ask(ey) a question.

If we had approached a manager from Macclesfield Town before we appointed Slade would the town fans have embraced such an appointment.

Think some town fans are so set on moving away from slade and wilko that they happy to accept anyone outside the club.

Askeys never got promoted or really managed in the league and as much as i want a clean slate too am happy to take our time till after the weekend before making a rash decision.

Btw well done to the telewag and humberside for the false speculation amd amateur reporting/guess work.
