Have you got Mariner Player, look at the highlights of the last game,  apart from letting their midfielder waltz past him he was anonymous, don`t take my word just look, as a defensive unit we are one man short when he plays.

Oh yes - the highlights - a short snapshot of major events in the game. Just in front of Lower Youngs, Gunning told Dyson to push off his marker and go, which he did and got a run in - did that make the highlights? No.

We have a team of players that have played mostly at a lower level than those they are playing against - at risk of repeating stuff I know, we are not Barcelona!

He screens the back four and he allows us an extra attacking option.

How does adding an extra defender allow us an extra attacking option?

Thought i had already gone into that previously. Like others you have decided he is sh1te, so i'll leave it there.

Gunning is fat.

Akinfenwa is a beast.

What we really want is somebody the size of Dave Boylen marking Akinfenwa, it's not fair picking somebody who isn't afraid to tackle him

I would get Collins to look after the Beast as he tends to read it better and move in front of attackers to stop them controlling the ball

I'm not a fan of Gunning in his recent role but today could be an exception for me. I doubt there is a defender in the division who is strong enough to stop Akinfenwa backing in or pushing players around so having a slightly bulkier than usual defensive midfielder in the mix could be enough to stop him winning the flick-ons and lay-offs we know he's capable of. If nothing else, it will be more obvious there has been a shove if he sends Gunning flying!

Was doing his job well today until he had to go off.

Sliced one pass badly after about 50 minutes and some people couldn't wait to jump on him for it. Like they'd been waiting 50 minutes to have a moan at him and tell the world they knew he was shite from the first minute they saw him.
