Striker Nathan Arnold was another. He scored the winner in the National League play-off final for Grimsby in April before turning down an offer to remain with the Mariners. He is thought to have been merely using the game as a fitness exercise.

They're incorrect though. The game was in May and we were 2-1 up when Nath scored.

(Felt like the winner though).

I was so nervous at 2-1... the game felt like it was on a knife edge!

That third goal from Arnold gave us a better moment than the ref's final whistle would've at 2-1. We'd have still celebrated hard, of course, but a goal is a better way to end a game than a whistle!
