Why all  the slagging off of Fenty some fans are short on memories our decent began around the Huxford days the careless ignorant ba*tard helped by his bottom liking goblin Fenuxe so im ho it would and will take a long time to put things right.
I reckon Mr Fenty should get Buckley to advise the club and him on the football side of the club.utmD

In my opinion, you are an idiot.

So here I am once more in the playground of the broken hearts
One more experience, one more entry in a diary, self-penned
Yet another emotional suicide overdosed on sentiment and pride
Too late to say I love you, too late to re-stage the play
Abandoning the relics in my playground of yesterday

Definitely libel.

Really ? Surely it's down to the individual goblin...maybe he's quite relaxed about having people like his bottom ?
Just shows what a minefield this libel thing is though, even before you bring goblin body parts into it.

But how would you know if the poster considered it a good or bad thing to be a Fenty?
Why not "Newell of the week"? Then there would be no confusion.

Not that Newell isn't a thoroughly decent fella, and I should make it clear I am NOT IN ANY WAY suggesting or implying he is a chair-throwing, petrol-drinking, tossbag of a shitstain and will disclaim any responsibility for any such interpretations made here.

I think we should all be very very nice to each other and to every member of the football club that was once known and feared as  the great GRIMSBT TOWN,

No ?

Or should we just tell the truth and speak our minds ?

Or we could all just fack off, then what would happen?

I'm with the Jon the Boardster. He's rarely wrong (except when he is of course).

Fenty of the week.

There I've said it.

Made me feel better than James Brown.

Get your facts right in your comedy posts. Huxford and Furneaux were on opposite sides of the boardroom battle. In fact from my memory Everitt (Chairman) and Huxford were ousted by Dudley Ramsden after being defeated in a vote of no confidence against Furneaux being a director. Dud and co then appointed Peter Furneaux to replace Everitt as Chairman.

In my opinion, if John Fenty wants to re-assume the position of Chairman, the he should have the good grace to show us what he PLANS to do to bring some pride back into GTFC.

Whether he likes it or not, he has presided over the most disastrous era in the club's history leading to many fans (myself included) deciding to do something else with their hard-earned. If there was a PLAN, not a series of knee-jerk initiatives then I'm sure many would be encouraged to re-visit.

I reckon we do need someone with some footballing knowledge, even if it's only to give a 2nd opinion.

A good example is Hereford - were struggling badly and Peters came in and desrcibed them as the worse team in the division.

Since he's come in they've turned around performances very well and are doing much better.
http://www.teamtalk.com/hereford-united/7233973/Pitman-praise-for-Peters

It's all well and good saying Scott and Hurst need time to learn but we're not here to give learning appreticeships out to people who should already know what they're doing !
If they do then we should have at least some chance of quickly putting things right.
If something is wrong other teams generally work on it and fix it quick, not spend a season+ repeating the same mistakes.

As for Fenty, yes he's done his best and given competitive budgets but I don't think it's necessarily been wise to trust inexperienced unproven managers with large budgets and expect promotion at the first attempt - in hindsight some may think it's been a daft strategy.

I'm not saying S&H or Fenty should go, but do think the club needs to consider doing something new and different - maybe some kind of shakeup to change things for the better.

For my sins, I am a business planning consultant. The common failure of most business people is not to plan as they keep their business, sales & marketing plans tightly locked in the six inches between their ears.

We are now at a point where JF and GTFC don't need to just come up with a plan but to come with a plan that the staff & the fans can buy into. Certainly more people will buy in to a business plan if they are empowered to do so. My fear is that we will not only not see a business plan but if we do it will not bring back the fans who will make the difference to the future of GTFC.

I think you make a good point - fans need something to motivate and engage them.

Wonder if any hypothetical plan might be to ask fans to "cough up or the club will go bust" ?

GTST have been very quiet recently. (have they come up with 1 concrete idea or proposal yet?)
I guess after the AGM is over they'll come out with a whole wave of ideas.
