What, like how much of a rip-off it is paying £4.50 for a double burger.

(I hasten to add it wasn't myself who feasted on this culinary delight on Saturday but a friend of mine)

How about:
"if by some miracle we do not get promoted this season(playing up as a positive question) What will happen next season? Will we be professional club still?
Is there a sell on fee in the AC deal and do you think that part of the deal is good business for us? (my thought is AC is 28 and unlikely to move on for a fee again(more likely free transfers.IMO)

Have you got in touch with the Fyfe couple who won the Euro Millions yet? If not why not?

I would like to know EXACTLY where we are on the Stadium issue, not the usual the' Council have been very helpful' (yeah) and all the flim flam, vague  comments we normally get - we need to know IF we aren't getting a new stadium within the next 5 years, what is going to be done to improve BP from the total wreck it is becoming?
Some parts of it are an absolute embarrassment for a club only recently out of the FL.

Jonny, if you get the chance mate will you ask if the pitch has been narrowed for next season? Will give us a good indication of our intentions if so.
I know it's narrower now, but do they intend to leave it like that? Cheers.

Wrong coast I'm afraid. Largs is in Ayrshire on the west coast, Fife is the east coast of Scotland.

It's mainly the fans and comedy I'll be tuning in for.

"Andy" gave him a right grilling last year.

Fenty: "Do I feel responsible ? Yes I do."
Andy: "Good !"

I dare someone to ask who is the female dog in the S&H relationship! haha

I would like to know about the following :-

- Is Spencer Weir-Daley someone the club is interested in?
- What will the Connell transfer money be spent on. And is Fenty / S&H prepared to take a gamble to spend the money on a potential player?
- Does S&H feel they are ready for the season (in terms of completing their squad)?
- Does Fenty feel that the season tickets were value for money this year? How can he guarentee that season tickets holders will be treat fairly, if the discount vouchers just suddenly start to appear?
- Why was there only a deal for couples, how is that helping out the single man?

If somebody could ask these questions and avoid the flasks/burgers/floodlight questions, then maybe it might be slightly entertaining.

Someone ask him why he lied about clearing alan connell's contract extension situation up at the last fans forum and why the club removed the original press release off the website. Ask him why he feels the need to sack managers on a season by season basis when it clearly isnt making us any better and costing him a lot of money.
Ask him to fook off.

Fenty answered the "when are we replacing Connell question" with a lengthy answer about finances and expected losses.

He isn't worried about Boston's £25k court case.

JF says Connell wanted to leave in Xmas and that he has been on the phone to JF more than once to stress that... His agent tried to engineer a move to Luton and was adamant Connell would be leaving...

New stadium?  JF mentioning Doncaster's case.  He says we need new income revenues, we could triple our attendances, and we are still pursuing a new stadium.

JF says we need it.  "It's got to happen, within 3 years".  "massively encouraged"  he says.  He says council supportive, "I can't say more".  "Relentless pursuing".

Keep the updates going please 80's,

Sorry mate, been listening....

Well let me see...
Lots of early references to "vultures" from Fenty.
Without wanting to be doom and gloom Fenty stressed the financial predicament the club was in.
Connell payments spread over 3 years, first one will go into the playing budget.
Fenty said rumours about the transfer figure weren't far off.

Scott said people need to be realistic, patient. (I think)

Hurst said 0 chance Spencer Weir Daly will be coming.

Not narrowing the pitch, been doing it in terms of re-seeding.

Youth Development?  Local clubs (Leeds, Donc etc.) taking our best local youth players?  Round of applause for that question.

JF says "if we not scouting properly, let him know."   "Neil Woods did terrific job"  "We are now on cusp of good players"  "Stockdale is great"  "we have good ones coming through"  mentioned the 4 youngsters against Rotherham.

Bringing through youth into the team - Fenty says difficult to plan years ahead when BSP needs "big and strong" players.
But hoping to see the benefit of the setup coming to fruition and points to I'Anson, Mulready etc already in the squad and says youth setup is all about 3 points on Saturday.

Swedish chap asked "why we not get foreign youngsters"  H&S says "network 7 being used".  "valuable tool" he says.

Trialists?  "most applicants not good enough" Scott says.  Sounds like a lot of crap players "chancing their arms"

I think these two talk a lot of sense and they give me more optimism than Woods did and certainly more than the clueless Newell.

Sounds like they have a well tried and tested formula and are looking to re-build the club and lift the doom and gloom around the place.Fenty says they are relentless and leave no stone unturned.

When asked why it was necessary for Connell to go on the transfer list think Fenty said he told Alan he had to put himself on the list for a move.

When asked apart from determination and hard work what the most important thing for a successful team ?

Hurst said "team spirit" then said he hoped they had brought in "quality" and think he said he was looking to bring in players who they could improve for the future.

The new managers coming across very well, intelligent and articulate. They obviously do things the right way so lets hope the tables are finally turning and we have found the right men for the job. Keep up the good work S&H

With Connell being asked to put himself on the list that means he breaks the contract and not us. Therefore we don't have to settle the remainder of the contract. Everyone is a winner there.

What can we expect from Church ?

Scott: "Churchy likes the attention !" (audience laughs)

"Technically could be better"
"Good base to build from"
"Hopeful there will be improvement not just tachnical but on the tactical nouse side of the game"

Or something like that...

Season tickets and offers?  JF says "100 new STs"  "1600 STs, so far"  "we don't want to discount games, but we need to be winning"

"energy and enthusiasm in squad, no journeymen"  "brighter season ahead"

Parker day to day?  "no not at all" JF says "major decisions yes".

Did you get the figures regarding shares anyone?

Parker not involved in the day to day decisions but kept informed over major decisions

Has increased ahreholding 350,000 + further 275,000.

Fenty not sure if he's(Fenty) gonna equate or relinquish shareholding.

Thought the manegers gave fantastic thoughtful and intelligent answers, not sure what to make of JF's talk on
the new stadium though, we have heard this all, before followed by absolutely nothing for months/years, i also found his comment about Mike Parker continuing to increase his shareholding and whether he  does the same, very interesting,i know he said they would both continue to support the  clubs losses and  maybe it was me, but i just get the idea there might be a  tiny bit bit of friction there and possibly a bit of a power struggle to come - perhaps i'm wrong, certainly hope so, because everyone at GTFC needs to be pulling in the same directtion.

Get fooked same old shite from fenty and new managers every season, same old naive punters who swallow it up and before xmas they are calling for the managers head.

What did we learn tonight that is important? connell money over 3 years with 1 years money being reinvested in new players which shows a real lack of ambition for me.

Fenty is keen to slag connell off as he did when bennett went and this shows what a classless cuntt he really is.

The continued involvement of fenty in the club is nothing to be optimistic about.

Pretty much ticked all the right boxes tonight but then again, you'd expect that.

Only 1 player coming in then.
I guess it's a striker(anyone remember what they said about replacing Connell, was it "no rush" ?), so guess we won't get a left back.

What struck me most of all was something I think Fenty said after talking about Connell etc.

Not sure exactly but something like "You need the strongest squad available to get out of the BSP" (he later admitted you're financially better off in L2)

This was after Scott opened up the discussion by mentioning "playing budgets".

Seems ironic Fenty would say that after the Connell sale so I got the personal impression it was a financially motivated move,
My personal guess is those 4-3-3 doubts were a red herring.

I'm pretty sure that his reference to strength was about the youth players being able to cut it in the physical league that is the BSP! Please let the Connell thing go will you!?

Didn't Fenty describe himself as "Billy Nomaites" when talking about him supporting the club who were losing to the tune of £900K a season ?
When asked whether he was concerned, think he saidmNo because the commitment has been made for the current year, but wasn't sure what happened after that ?
Personally I got the impression he was getting sick of pumping his money in.
You couldn't  blame him I suppose.
Well I suppose you could !  (joke...)

It's not just about Connell though is it ?
It's also about whether you invest to go for a "big push" or stay within playing budgets.
Whether it's worth spending to accumulate to get out the BSP (if possible)
Come January and we're in touch of the playoffs, exactly the same question could well crop up again.

I''m no apologist for Fenty, never have been never will be, but you conveniently seem to have ignored the fact that we apparently lost  over 900K last year ( I'm sure on publication of the clubs account you will be able to double check this) perhaps, instead of slagging him off you should for a moment consider the Rushden & Diamonds situation, an ex league club that now doesn't exist beacause they had no financial backer and at least acknowledge the fact that we still exist, almost entirely from Fenty and Parkers money,  albeit in a league we d'ont want to be in and before you say it, yes  i am well aware of our demise  through the leagues under Fentys stewardship!.

Question - did Fenty rule out going part time or not ? Can't remember....

Pretty sure he said something like "you need to stay professional to get out of the BSP".

He said he would do all he can not to go part time, then said you can't get promoted if part-time. So basically we either lose lots of money not getting promoted, or we lose everything the club is by going part-time.

But the mismanagment by Fenty has put us in this position. The club continue to lose more and more money under his stewardship and decisions to save thousands years ago have cost the club millions in the long run and cost us our league status. I have no doubt we would be in a better position had fenty not been involved in the club.

He did say that and  despite my previous post showing a bit of support towards him, you have to
worry when he says certain things, because he does have a habit of backtracking! He did say though
that failure to get out of this league this coming  seadon is likely to result in a similar loss to last (900K+), c'ant imagine  either he, or Parker will continue to support the club to that tune indefinitely.
Very big season coming up at BP.

Wonder if that means it's sh1t or bust this season then ? (not literally)

if it was excrement or bust we would have a bigger budget than 900k, I think even though we need promotion to stay full time, it will have to be several more seasons with no sign of improvment at this level before he would consider going part time.

I hope you're right but Fenty did sound like he was becoming increasingly tired of the financial burden on his shoulders(although Parker is helping)
Don't like to be doom and gloom but I can see the youth team getting axed (before we ever go part time).

Fingers crossed for this season !

Just got back from work, does anyone want to do a summary of tonight?

Just done one for the OS.
Probably won't be everything but might as well paste it in here.
Apologies if anything is wrong, please put me right if so...

- Fenty stressed the financial difficulties the club is facing with the club losing around £900K per year.
- Thinks there's no case to answer in the Boston court case(suing for £25,000) and would expect it to happen in September.
- Regards new stadium says we're relentlessly pursuing it, it's got to happen in 3 years and "We need to relocate"
- Said Connell wanted to leave in Xmas. Said Connells agent tried to set up a move to Luton.
- No chance of signing Spencer Weir Daley - Hurst.
- Fenty says we need new income revenues, we could triple our attendances, and we are still pursuing a new stadium.
- No narrowing of the pitch - been done for re-seeding.
- Connell payments spread over 3 years, first one will go into the playing budget.
- Rumours about the transfer figure weren't far off.
- Duffy no interest.  Serge, some from Lincoln.  Door not closed.
- 2 players in mind for club captain. Captain needs respect from other players. Decision before start of season.
- Looking to bring one more player in, then it may be onto the loan market.
- Hoping to see the benefit of the youth setup coming to fruition and points to I'Anson, Mulready etc already in the squad and says youth setup is all about 3 points on Saturday.
- Scott says they are using Scout 7, "invaluable tool".
- 1609 season tickets sold so far.
- Parker not involved in the day to day decisions but kept informed over major decisions
- Parker increased shareholding 350,000 + further 275,000.
- Fenty not sure if he's gonna equate or relinquish shareholding.
- Dugout change due to superstition.
- No dialogue about Buckley being Director Of Football - would be "derisory".
- Kempson injury - "hopefully a week 2 weeks could be 3 months if he's fractured his metatarsal again", Scott.

Managers selective quotes.....

Rob Scott

"We're not gonna teach our players to 'simulate'"
"We're in the best job in the world."
"Everyone's got to have elements of patience"
"As many [fans] as you know, drag em along with you"

Q Is automatic promotion realistic given your recruitment over the summer ?
Scott: "Wouldn't be sat here if it wasn't"

Regards Church....

"Technically could be better"
"Good base to build from"
Hopeful there will be improvement not just technical but on the tactical nouse side of the game.

Paul Hurst

"We came becase we're ambitious and the club are ambitious"
"We'll try to be successful, we're desperate for it"
"I'm good cop. Rob's bad cop"
"We send them out to put in as many tackles as possible"."

Q. Apart from determination and hard work whats the most important thing for a successful team ?
"Team spirit..."

Yes Flash, it was a good idea i thought, whether you believe JF when he said he offered that is up to you, but, it  would have  built a few bridges, all the revenue to Boston  and marketed  big style amongst the Town fans that this is what it was for and we would have taken at least 1000 paying  customers at  perhaps £10 to get in, so £10,000 to Boston  instead of a court case  which they may win, but also a court case they may lose and have to pay costs, thus worsening the relations between the  two clubs.

Thanks for all the info lads,

I think it was a very positive meeting and apart from the usual few every body went home happy.,

Play offs at least imo,

BUT

We just might win this league with S + H at the helm.
