GRIMSBY, ENGLAND - MAY 12: Pat Nevin of Chelsea has his penalty kick saved by Nigel Batch of Grimsby Town during the Canon League Division Two match between Grimsby Town and Chelsea held on May 12, 1984 at Blundell Park, in Grimsby, England. Chelsea won the match 1-0 to win the Canon League Division Two title.

This is a pre-1960 photo isn't it? That's the old Pontoon stand on the left which was replaced in 1960.

The old Ritz cinema is in front where McDonalds is now

i blame Furneaux for having those Corners of terrace torn down...


somewhat strange to see what would've been the players tunnel in the Lower Findus, i know i can make it out from the Pontoon Stand because of where the lighter grey stone blocks are different from the rest of it...

It was a cracking ground back in the day...... I can remember it being packed when our lot played there for a top-of-the-table Fourth Division clas in the late 70's and atmosphere was superb. I've always looked forward to visiting Blundell Park

I always enjoyed playing Barnsley regarded it as a proper Derby game going back to 79/80 even if we usually ended up urine wet through on your old kop.
