Can anyone explain who this Tim Mickleburgh character is please?? Not too clued up on local politics(lived outside GY all my life), seems like a slight attention seeker though and maybe has upset a few people down the years?? Am intrigued now

Tim Mickleburgh is a very prolific correspondent in the Telegraph letters pages. He talks about amongst other things public transport, Socialism and British seas-side piers. His musings are seen by many as ultra boring but he is a real thorn in the sides of "Stagecoach" for which a lot of people similarly dependent on public transport should be grateful.
My view is that whilst some of his letters are dull he does provide a very useful antidote to the more right wing perpetual writers on there. I wouldn't wish to speculate as I don't know him well enough to know whether he has a job but he certainly does a lot of work for charity.

It is fair to say though that he does have the ability to wind people up and when people are slagging off the Telegraph letters page it is usually Tim that they use as evidence to say that it should be shut down...'Tis true that it is difficult to find a day when he doesn't have an epistle published...

No doubt now he has discovered us we will be treated to regular postings as he seeks to expand his media empire..I'm confident he will divide the camp!
