The no2 won camra pub of the year 4 years on the trot up to 2007 it still comes second to the giant
wetherspoons that is the Yarborough.
Always 5 hand pulled on tap two guests plus a mild olde trip and worthy cask.

Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play.
It is bound up with hatred,jealousy,boastfullness,
disregard of all rules and a sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence;
In other words it is war without the shooting.

Where's that song/poem from in your sig Semi?

I Googled it and it came up on a list of Sam Smith's favourite quotes. Appropriate given this thread, but I'm sure it wasn't a Yorkshire brewer.

Just done some digging and found it first go.
It's on the sleeve notes of Chris Woods Trespasser.
It's down as anon.

The site to bone up on for away pubs is.
http://www.footballgroundguide.com/
Its not inclusive but the camra site is a bit more difficult to navigate.

If you are going to Bury, Bolton Road station on the East Lancs Railway is a real ale pub. Can't comment on them as I gave up years ago but they do two or three real ciders as well. That would have been nice. My pals enjoyed it though. What made me laugh was I found the place and I'd been off it for eight years at the time. If you read Viz, the Real Ale T***s strip is brilliant this month.
