Surprised that 4 players who probably won’t be with us next season start…
Mcatee ….Smith…… Josh…….and Lloyd…unless mystic Meg aka Hurst knows otherwise?

I hope Orsi and Hunt get a chance to start soon……

I have watched about 6 or 7 games this season on ifollow and I am yet to see a win. I've only been to one game this season and that was in the away end at home to Orient with some O's fans, and we didn't win that either.

So, therefore, please accept my apologies in advance  - i've just bought tonight's game.

It's all my fault when we don't win!

Interesting team.

Definitely feels more positive than the last few home games.
If we can improve our passing I think this could be good. Pretty big "if" though after watching some of our attempts this season.

Really hope Khan has a good game again, really think he could be a big player next season.

No offence to McAtee but if Luton reach the Prem this season I can't see him being in their plans and I doubt they paid that much for him. Cup run money might enable us to keep him, who knows.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Is this better or worse then Mansfield? I can't tell .

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

It's an absolute chore to watch Town at home. So very laboured and predictable. Awful passing and lacking any sort of inventiveness. Pretty awful again I'm afraid.

I am all for signing players that are decent characters, a team player and will graft for the club but call me old fashioned I would quite like them to be able to pass a ball.

Not keen of singling out players but Green may well be competitive but he is technically weak and devoid of any real quality. We need so much more from a central midfielder and really he looks like League 2 is not his level.

Zzz zzz zzz zzz a snooze fest of a 1st half, atleast Khouri looks inspired tonight and is putting the effort in.

I seem to recall a description by the late Charles Ekberg which went something like" It's a terrible game to watch, at least those in the upper Findus can have some excitement watching the ships in the Humber"

He's not actually a local lad, he's from London, you don't have to obsessively defend him when he plays poorly.

Can't he just watch a few Stacy Caldicott videos - He was a similiar sort of player but improved to at least be able to play sidewards and sometimes forward passes ; in his later days he even scored a 20 yard side footer somehow.

Khouri has put in a few decent tackles but has given it away terribly in dangerous positions on a couple of occasions.

Playing into a strong swirling wind like this is always a nightmare so I'm hoping the passing will improve with the wind at our backs. The worry is that they've got a bit of pace in attack so we need to watch out for passes over the top which will hold up this half.

I don't think it has been nearly as poor as many on here seem to think so let's see how they cope with the wind in comparison.

Think Khouri has been a real bright spot. Some good tackles, looks quick in thought and deed, although he did give a couple of passes away.
Glennon and Khan look our best bet for a breakthrough.

I didn’t think that was that bad, we’re trying to draw them out & Barrow are sitting in.  Could do with McAtee dropping a touch deeper to get more involved & passing the ball better as that’s been very iffy!

We’re the better side to my eye though, although I’d pay a pretty penny for Max to be able to kick as well as their keeper

I agree with you, Emmanuel has been very poor by his high standard. They have had several attacks down our right and Emmanuel was saved by both Smith and Maher. His attacking seems to be awry at best.

Streaming is poor, I've come off and keep logging back in.

It won't do anything if it's on their end. The stream quality is super low when it does work and then stops for a long time.

Anyone else notice it seems to cut out at all the wrong moments as well

Get in Orsi. Lloyd and Orsi once again linking up together

Nice composure shown by Lloyd and Orsi there first to make the pass and Orsi to cut across and finish.

thought we were much better 2nd half.
Will be waiting with bated breath for the usual suspects to come on and acknowledge that Hurst's substitutions worked a treat

Holohan, Orsi & Waterfall all improved their areas of play

Holohan coming on gave us another attacking outlet that paid off. Ball was sticking more in midfield and he was finding the forwards. One cool finish from Orsi was all that was needed in a fairly boring game.

We win top half finish certainly well possible great finish by Orsi in a really tight area. Got to give him and Lloyd a start together and see what happens. Thought Khouri looked great seemed to be very quick in thought even if he did make a couple of errors needs to start again on Saturday.

Perhaps Orsi is the Toshack that I said Lloyd (the Kev Keegan) needed to form the partnership - would save a lot of money .
Would be great if Paul thinks that.

Hit the nail on the head there. If our home form had been better we would have been in the play-offs. But, to be honest, I would settle for upper mid table. I think a lot of these lads are knackered. They need a break and a good pre-season and then will be ready to go. This season should give us confidence in that we have shown we can competer in this league. I think we should congratulate the lads and the manager.

Incidentally, Barrow have the 4th best home record in the league. They’ve lost 6. We have also lost 6. The difference being that they’ve won 12, versus our 5. It’s the draws that have killed us.

I honestly believe we’re really not that far from being a force in this league. I have high hopes for next season.

Yep agree mate.
Tbf we have been unlucky in some home games and lucky in some of the away wins.
No denying it has been far from entertaining at home barring 3 or 4 games.

I still think that getting Smith on a decent contract would be a massive step forward, it didn't sound very likely with his interview the other day though.

Before tonight's game, they had scored one more goal than us and conceded 5 less, but that was enough to see them 10 points ahead of us.

There really isn't a lot between a so so season and a play off place. Score a handful more, concede a handful less, and the season looks different.
