With 24 hours to go we now have the repeat situation where there are a handful of single ,restricted view and back row seats avaialabke including Osmond A but still not opened Osmond B.. I think forcing people to buy the last few crap seats before good seats are released is so obviously wrong particularly when it’s clearly going to be a sell out. Whoever is handling this area at the club has lost the plot as it must be turning people away who are in the shall I or shan’t I group and someone needs to sort it out.

In relation to tickets.

For e-Tickets, do they need printing or is the email sufficient? I have a couple for the Forest game.

I guess you've got your season ticket sorted then. Happy with your view? See all of the Pontoon goalmouth and the full trajectory of the ball when it goes above 20ft? It's a real problem for the casual, floating or regular fan who can't afford or justify a season ticket. It should be talked about every day on here until it gets sorted. Bit surprised at the new regime about this, same with the Forest tickets. Lets just release every home seat at the same time. If we we don't sell out by a couple of hundred or more, let them all be restricted view tickets no matter what stand they are in and not force fans into playing a game of chance waiting for a new section of the Osmond to be opened..

Edit

The only valid reason I can think of is that if there is a poor ticket take up for a game the club is hoping to keep a section free for ticket distribution to schools etc..

Because a general swell of opinion on here is going to be listened to more then one random person ringing up with a complaint. That’s one of the reasons we have fans forums. The club has a fan liaison director who no doubt regards part of her job as to be aware of opinion on here.

Just how many people make up your 'general swell'?    How many people do you think post on here every day?

Did indeed, same seat I’ve had since seats were put in lower findus. Cracking view.

And this highlights the absolute need for an immediate review and overhaul of the current process/system that we're using.

Northampton, Carlisle, Forest and Sutton.  4 consecutive games with issues around the release and allocation of tickets.  I genuinely can't remember 4 games on the spin where we've got even remotely close to a sell-out.  We're on a wave of hope, optimism and genuine interest in the club that we've never seen before.

The quoted post above is the situation we want to avoid.  Someone is interested, they want to come, they're prepared to part with hard earned money and we're effectively pushing them away.

I've got a ST and the situation pisses me off, if I was trying to buy a ticket I don't think I would last long before giving up and finding something else to spend my money on.

The only way to get around this would be stop online ticket purchase(which no one wants) and only sell tkts through the ticket office block by block(which again no one wants) not allowing to pick your own seats. If you really want four tickets together i suggest you buy as soon as they go on sale.

To be fair there’s nothing stopping you but the restricted view tickets in the Main stand and just walking through to the Osmond if it’s not sold out

I may be a bit dim here, but is this actually live now? i've looked for the 'donate' button (can't make the Sutton match tomorrow), but can't find it. I don't need to be compensated for donating. My seat is in block C Upper.

Other venues don't have a problem controlling the seats you buy and stopping people leaving single seats.

Select ‘Tickets’ from the main menu, log in to your account, select ‘my current tickets’ then ‘show more’
Then scroll down to the match in question and there should be an option to release your ticket

It was so boring, I was counting empty seats. Easily 50 for each block that I could see in the main stand, probably more because you can't see the top few rows and they probably have fewer people too. Plus a lot more in the 2 blocks behind the dugouts. Pontoon is difficult because the black seats blend in, but I got 28 and 32 white seats in the left 2 blocks, so likely 60ish again in the pontoon. Osmond had a lot more empty seats than those. 1000 empty in the away stand and then whatever was empty in the Findus, likely the same ratio or a bit higher. Easily 2500 empty seats was my estimate, so if 6200 was the attendance then it's not far off.

Fair enough but why were there less then 100 tickets availability label on line before kick off if there are nearly 2000 empty home seats do 1 in 4 not turn up . Still doesn’t make any sense to me even if I am the only one that cares

We can settle this capacity thing once for all after Tuesday. On the basis that no shows will be minimal as an all pay game, and both home and away will be sold out - then Tuesday’s attendance will be the saleable capacity of BP, and we don’t need to talk about it any more.

Can't we just rejoice in having 6200 against Sutton in an EFL game? Unthinkable 18 months ago.

Agreed, and even the people that didn't turn up had bought a season ticket. It is effectively a full home end for every game apart from some season ticket holders who cannot go for whatever reasons they have. Like you say it is absolutely amazing that we could play smaller clubs and get such crowds. League games against the bigger teams with a larger away following will be fantastic.

That's not the point though is it?

If we've got even 100 empty seats, there's potential there for the club to make more money (even at a reduced rate through the resale scheme)  but more importantly it's about making sure we're getting as many people in the ground as possible and able to watch the team, ideally avoiding people having to watch the game in seats with really poor views (although to be honest, that might have been the best view on Saturday!).  Any redevelopment or new build will ideally have a capacity that exceeds 8000.  Let's get a bit of proof of concept that it's needed.

But let's definitely celebrate the numbers we had through for the game, unimaginable 18 months ago.
