Thought we might have been priced a bit lower - with the algorithm looking at our NL placing and Hartlepool getting 54 points last season. Of course, although we only finished 6th, we had two long periods of near title-winning form with a pile of shite in the middle. Think SI have got us about right.

Think Donny might be a sell. Tempted to buy Stockport, 77 points was 6th and 7th last season, can't see them be lower. Not sure about Bradford - squad looks amazing but there is that nagging Mark Hughes factor - not managed for 4 years, never managed at this level and has fecked up a few clubs.

Walsall and Wimbledon possible sells. Who will be the basket case team this season? I won a load on Scunny last season but lost heavily on Swindon who got their act together much quicker than I expected. Also lost on heavily on Bradford. Made a few quid buying Sutton.

Using Town as an example - buy at 60.5 points as their final season total. If they get 65 points you win 4.5 X your stake. So at £10 a point that would be £45 win. If we get 60 points you lose a fiver. If we have a Scunthorpe season you own alot!

Last season I sold Scunthorpe at 54 for £5 a point, they ended up with 26 so I won £140, but as per above I lost nearly all of that on Swindon and Bradford. You can trade out at any time. I've been doing this since circa 1997. Over all that time, I'm probably about break even - but it's good fun. League 1 and 2 have better pickings because they get less attention and pricing by SI is sometimes wrong  - like Scunny last season - no way were they ever going to get 54 points...

Oh that's interesting. I quite like the look of Barrow in that case, I think they've recruited fairly well and Wild will make them fairly solid. Might have a tenner on Barrow on that.

You'll be better at it than Dietmar Hamann!

Agree - I was thinking Barrow as a buy. Waters is a good signing there.
What about Newport as a sell, on the basis that OB will through his toys out again and they've lost a 25 goal striker to Crawley?

Agreed on bradford could go either way brilliant or poor i'd go for the latter , personally think stockport will win lge by a wide margin good summer dealings on top of an already good squad combined with a top manager , as for ourselves if we get top 12 i 'd be happy any higher i'm ecstatic

Just be mindful, that £10 a point not a £10 bet... you win or lose £10 for every point either side of their total. So they finish 15 points ahead of their prediction you win £150, though finish 15 points below your prediction and you owe SI £150.
