According to the telewag Anthony Glennon has been released by Burnley.  Is he worth signing?

Saw him in the home defeat to Scunny and I thought he was FAR and away the best player on the pitch. If we got him, I’d do cartwheels to the local shop to buy a 12-pack of beer and celebrate like it’s 1999!

Not happening. And gutted it’s not.

absolutely superb at Bradford under Holloway. Been on loan at Barrow. Would be v. happy if he came back

Hurst's thorough research will know about Glennon.

Just because someone else brought him here won't influence any signing decisions if he feels that a player will fit his jigsaw.

Glennon showed graft and ability when here, so has qualities that Hurst likes.

Offered contacts being signed after player holidays will show who wants to stay, and where we need to strengthen.

The "wanted list" will appear soon, as will the obligatory rabbit out of the summer hat, no doubt !!

Interesting few weeks ahead !!

Ben Davies was at the club when glennonwas wasn't he? So he will be able to tell  Hurst all about him

Josh Benson was here at the same time & he signed for Barnsley for a sizeable fee
They were both good players apparently - but I don't recall there being a great deal of difference between the two?
