They’re a good side and play good football, score lots of goals and have confidence in their abilities. They finished way above us and where worthy of that.

Maybe they’re thinking how do we….?

- Match their work rate & press
- Contain McAtee
- Deal with Taylor’s craft
- Find space when Fox, Gav and H will be on them
- Stop the tricky Sousa getting the ball on a wide pitch
- Handle Waterfall and Smith when Cropper does his party piece
- Stop Gav popping up or belting one from 30 yards.
- Adapt when the strength on the bench gets a go.

They may be “total football” but we’ll be total energy, commitment, belief & desire.

I think they are the best overall team we've played in the play-offs but Wrexham at home were the toughest proposition (only 1 league defeat, and that was when they only had 10 men) and we overcame them.

The giant does worry me though given our defensive set piece performance on Saturday.

Well, if they are thinking all those things then that means they are not thinking about playing their own game. Which is fabulous.

Me too. I wonder if the management will set out to do anything different from set pieces. For me, we are vulnerable if it’s left to another player to challenge in the air who isn’t one of our centre backs. I’d like to see Waterfall/Smith/Pearson go and attack the ball more aggressively, even if it means being positionally flexible.
Don’t know if SM have a long throw specialist. Their delivery from corners looked good against Chesterfield, so  I’m sure we’ll be looking to prevent any deliveries into the box as much as possible. Seems to me that the best way to play against this team is to take the game to them and force them back. For me, the team that retains/turns over possession best will win this game.

If only it was that simple, but it would help yeah.
It’s the player that jumps/challenges their big lad(s) that needs to be stronger.

Well it goes without saying this is a very tough game but surely Solihull are going to be saying the same about us? They are favourites as they finished higher than us and scored more goals, got more points and conceded less goals also I believe? But we are capable of beating them, we beat Notts County and Wrexham despite being underdogs so if we beat them both then surely we can beat Solihull?

Even though it went down to the wire with Wrexham, I was confident that game was going to be ours from the get-go. I can’t deny I am a tad more anxious about Solihull honestly but still think we have the sheer grit to get the job done.

You don't have to win the header, just ensure he doesn't win it cleanly. Countless Italian defenders have been superb at that. A slight nudge or pull on the shirt is often enough. Just make sure it isn't enough for the ref to blow.

I'm more wary/fearful of Solihull than I was of Notts County or Wrexham, and that's with having effectively a "home crowd" advantage on Sunday with our superior numbers.

They knock it around really well and if it's a nice big pitch you'd think that would suit them. Obviously a very different threat to Wrexham who were heavily reliant on set plays. Notts try and play, like Solihull, but I'd argue aren't as good at it after seeing the 2 games against Solihull this season. We did have a good game plan in the last game at Notts (and the 2nd half at their place in the league game) but that was to deal with Notts playing 352, a system Solihull don't play. So we'll have to come up with a new out of possession strategy to deal with Solihull and either stop them playing or stop then hurting us. I just hope it's one that is an aggressive tactic like we've used in the last 2 games.

Even though its a tougher game than the previous two, I am still confident we can win. Belief must be really high amongst the squad and they know they've got great resilience between them all having battled back from being behind in both games and scoring late goals. Just think we're peaking at the right time and dealing great with the pressure of these knockout playoff games.

Absolutely can't wait for Sunday!!!
